Per A. Foss As a scientist Per A. Foss has a Ph.D. in bio-organic chemistry from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology - NTNU, and was then a post doc. at Massachusetts Institute of Technology- MIT. He has published a number of research papers in the area of natural products chemistry.
In his business career Foss was employed by the former Nycomed Imaging- now GE Healthcare - as a researcher and research manager, then with several roles in research management, business development and licensing. Later he led Birkeland Innovation ( Now Inven2) , and became CEO for HUNT Biosciencies AS. In 2012 he joined the Norwegian Industrial Property Office – NIPO as Director general.
Per A. Foss has completed the International Executive Programme - IEP at INSEAD in France and Nycomed International Management School. He has also a broad experience from several board positions including serving on the board for the Science division of the Norwegian Research Council for 8 years. Through his various roles, Foss has built a strong network within innovation, research, industry and the public sector.
