Temirra Jones Temirra Jones attended A-State Connection as a high school junior in 2012. This program, planned and hosted by the Multicultural Center and Office of Recruitment, is designed for juniors in high school to get connected to A-State. While on campus, the high school students spend the day with Arkansas State student leaders touring A-State and learning about Residence Life, academics, financial aid, and campus life. The first and most noticeable thing she saw on campus was the fact that A-State is very culturally diverse compared to the other colleges she was also looking at and choosing from. “I had never seen so many different races and ethnicities all together in one place,” said Jones.
“I am glad I came to the A-State Connection. Attending the event really pushed my decision to come to A-State, I really have enjoyed my experience so far here. Attending school here is one of the best decisions I have made.”
