Dear Students: This month’s edition is all about service. This is the time of year that we reflect on all that we have to be thankful for and consider the needs of others. Across the campus and the state, Rutgers students are giving to the community by sharing their time and talents to improve life for others. It’s heartening to witness the depth of programs, services and activities students engage in. From the Scarlet Day of Service to Dance Marathon and the Big Chill, RU students are connecting with the community, caring for the sick, feeding the hungry and much more! As a University community, we are deeply invested in the creation of new knowledge, improving the lives of others and investing in the future of this great university. There are countless ways that you can participate in service learning and community engagement. This edition highlights some of the recent and upcoming opportunities for you to leave an indelible mark on both the campus and community. On a selfish note, I encourage you to also take time to provide feedback to make our campus better. If you have not already done so, I urge you to be part of the physical master plan for the University by completing the MyCampus Survey. Your feedback is essential.
