Las Cruces Music Studio & Residence Structural Analysis
Southwest → Northwest Orientation. The structural system is of cyclopean foundation and foundation slab. The Adobe structural walls are 320 mm thick and start over the foundation beam, which is covered in the exterior by limestone. The project has two stories and according to the structural analysis, it requires a wooden framework covering the entire perimeter of the second level to reinforce the structure and reduce the structural load. The use of structural bamboo is required every three layers horizontally, tree bars every 4´ on each block and vertically two bars every 5” to increase the compression and lower the tension forces. Cyclopean Foundation: 1´ x 1´ x 2´ F´C 150 kg/cm2 Foundation Slab: 4" F´C 250 kg/cm2 Foundation Beam: 4 x 8" 250 kg/cm2 Adobe Structural Wall: 320mm (2 Block section Verticual + 2 Horizontal). Structural Bamboo: D=3.94", h=7.87" 2000 KN/cm² Structural Framing: 4 x 8 "Main beam, 2 x 6" Second beam, 2 x 4 "Auxiliary beam. Wall Finish: Exterior - Exposed Adobe; Interior - Cement Stucco, Beige Light Brown.

The project is located in the city of Anchorage, Ak in the United States. The land has 3,600.00 m2 (60x60m). The construction is made of Alaska cedar wood, very resistant to the climate with high and low temperature and the foundation with concrete dice and wooden pedestals.
