Each senior is required to schedule a time to get their senior portrait taken at Lyon’s Photography. The portraits are used in the yearbook and the class composite. There is no cost to the family for the portrait unless you decide to purchase prints.

SENIOR PARENT DINNER

All senior parents are invited to attend a parent dinner. Members of the administration will provide senior event related information.
The cost to attend is $10 per person. Cash or checks can be submitted to Janet Wood or Michelle Agnoni in the Central Office or paid at the dinner.

SENIOR YARD SIGN SALE
APRIL 1, 2023
Order a senior yard sign to celebrate your student and support after-prom activities. Order by Feb. 5 to have it delivered to Hoban on the week of Feb. 17. Orders will still be accepted after Feb. 5 but we will not have a set delivery date as the printer needs at least 10 signs ordered to print.

Seniors are encouraged to wear a t-shirt or sweatshirt to represent the college or university they plan to attend. They will celebrate Mass as a class at 2 p.m. Following Mass, photos will be taken of the class and each college group.

GRADUATION TICKETS
MAY 1–14, 2023
Tickets are reserved via an internet link beginning on Monday, May 1 through Sunday, May 14. An announcement on Canvas, as well as an email sent to the seniors at a later date, will contain the link to order tickets.
Students will receive two [2] reserved seat tickets and eight [8] general admission tickets.
Students will receive their graduation tickets with their cap and gown on May 16 or when all requirements for graduation are satisfied.

Buffet style meal will be served at 6:30 p.m. All prom tickets will be purchased before and after school. Cash and checks only. Ticket sale dates and times will be announced at a later date. Hoban senior ticket cost is $50.
SENIOR AFTER-PROM
10 P.M. – 2 A.M., THE UNIVERSITY OF AKRON REC CENTER
• Check-in begins at 10 p.m. and students must arrive by 10:30 p.m.
• Students who have to leave After Prom early must have a signed parental permission form turned in the week before Prom. Please strongly encourage your student to stay safe with us for the entire event.
• To help defray the cost of After Prom, a $50.00 minimum donation is requested per family. Parents can either: Send a check to the Hoban Central Office marked “After-Prom.”
• Pay online on Venmo @Archbishop-Hoban. If you donate via Venmo, please type “After-Prom” in the Venmo description so the Advancement Office can appropriately designate the donation.

All parents are welcome to attend the seniors’ final Mass as Hoban students. DRESS CODE: Boys should be clean-shaven and wear dress pants, shirts, ties and no earrings. Girls should dress in modest dress attire. All students must wear dress shoes — no exceptions!
GRADUATION TICKETS AND GOWNS PICK UP
11:30 A.M. – NOON, CONCOURSE
• Provided all graduation requirements have been met, students may pick up their cap and gown after the all-school Mass. Students in danger of failing a required course will not receive their cap and gown until course requirements have been met.
• All tuition and fees must be paid in full through the Business Office by May 8.
• iPad must be turned in along with the lightning USB cable and the big brick power adapter. If the iPad is not in working condition or the screen is cracked, then a fee will be charged to repair it. If the cord and adapter do not charge the iPad, a fee will be charged to replace it.
• All textbooks and supplemental books must be turned in to the proper teacher or a new book must be purchased through the Business Office by May 15.
• All art supplies must be returned to the proper teacher.
• All service hours must be completed and logged in x2VOL.
• All sports equipment and uniforms must be returned to the Athletic Office.
• All disciplinary matters must be settled by Tuesday, May 16.
HOBAN LETTER PAINTING

All seniors who choose to paint the Hoban letters on the hillsides are welcome to do so. Consider bringing a change of clothes.

• Caps and Gowns may not be modified or marked up in any way. Additional cords or stoles besides the ones already provided by Hoban may not be added to a student’s cap and gown.
• Gentlemen should be clean-shaven and wear dress pants, shirts and ties. No earrings.
• Ladies should dress in modest attire.
• All students must wear dress shoes – no exceptions!
REMEMBER
School rules are in effect during all senior event dates. Seniors found in violation of any school rules may lose the privilege to attend Commencement and/or may be required to attend school on Monday, May 22; Tuesday, May 23 and Wednesday, May 24 in order to receive their diploma.
Participation in end-of-year activities is a privilege, not a right.
