Nitido riflesso di una terra, l’Abruzzo, che nel vino s’identifica, Cantina Tollo è una splendida realtà animata da un solido spirito cooperativo. 19 soci nel 1960, quasi 1200 a tutt’oggi: una lucida sintesi che testimonia il legame di Cantina Tollo con il territorio, fotografa la dedizione di uomini che curano i vigneti con indicibile passione. La prodigiosa ascesa di Cantina Tollo affonda le radici in un’idea di equilibrata innovazione che l’accompagna da sempre: dunque, porte aperte alla modernità sorretta da una tradizione millenaria cresciuta tra Maiella e Adriatico, in una cornice naturale straordinariamente propizia. Una strategia premiata da vini acclamati su scala internazionale, un percorso culminato nel “Gran Vinitaly 1999” mai assegnato in precedenza ad una cantina cooperativa.

It is a gift to enhance the quality of life, through a promise Cantina Tollo has always kept: that its wines tell a story. If Cantina Tollo’s mission is based on the will to keep the relationship between man and the land very much alive, its products naturally transmit the spirit of this mission even whilst utilising the latest technology. Modern methods and research cannot bring a cold, distant feel to a what is in reality a richly poetic and joyful world and way of working. Each bottle does not contain only wine, but thousands upon thousands of caresses, changing moods and frames of mind, the passing of the seasons, a year’s work and the patient wait for the final outcome. Quality is a distinct reflexion of a land, Abruzzo, that identifies itself in its wine, Cantina Tollo represents an outstanding reality stimulated by a sound spirit of cooperation. 19 partners in 1960, nearly 1,200 today: a clear synthesis which testifies Cantina Tollo’s tie with its territory and reflects the dedication of the people who look after the vineyards with indescribable enthusiasm. The remarkable growth of Cantina Tollo takes root in an idea of balanced innovation which has always accompanied it: therefore, it has kept up with modern rewarding times retaining that millennial tradition which developed through the centuries between Maiella and the Adriatic within the natural framework of an extraordinarily favourable setting. A strategy which has been rewarded with the recognition of its wines on an international scale and has culminated in the “Gran Vinitaly 1999” award: an award which had never been assigned previously to a co-operative winery.
