to the second installment of the Twin Bridge Farms & Guests Bull Sale. We are glad to have Jen-Ty Gelbvieh and the Ness family back again this year. All three programs are very passionate about the Gelbvieh breed and strive to produce the best possible genetics they can. The beef industry is in a great place and with the national cow herd so low in numbers it is sure to continue. Top end feeder calves and replacement females were at a premium last fall. Now more than ever it is important to have the best possible genetics in our cow herds. On March 18th there will be bulls on offer that will make your operation competitive in every step of beef production. There are performance bulls to raise those scale busters in the fall, low birth weight bulls to make calving season stress free and all of them should sire those great females the Gelbvieh breed is known for. New this year is a group of heifer calves right from the heart of the replacement pens of Twin Bridge Farms and the Ness herd. These females should compliment the bulls on offer and go onto be great producers. All bulls selling will be semen tested and vet checked. The sellers are willing to keep purchases until April 15th free of charge and deliver them at least 200 miles free of charge. If you take your bull(s) home on sale day you will receive a $50 discount per bull. DEG TRENT 480T We purchased Trent as a calf beside his mother LC Wandering Petunia 480P from Double Eagle Gelbvieh in 2007 we knew soon as we seen him that he would be the next herdsire in the Jen-Ty operation. He showed even as a calf great thickness and muscle structure. He grew up and didn’t disappoint us. All his calf crops show all the same traits. He always put pounds on every calf crop. This is the last chance to get a Trent bull calf, as we had to put him down last year which was very disappointing for us. DEG Trent 480T

AWB BIRCH’S MAX 64X We purchased Max as a yearling from Birch’s he is a dark red bull very structurally sound, polled, large testicle and seems to work well.

DVE DAVIDSON MR. JAY 61X We purchased Mr. Jay from the Davidson ranch. He is a very thick soggy bull. We used him just on our heifers and he did what he was suppose to easy calving, never had any issues using him on heifers.

Vision is the type of bull that drew us to the Gelbvieh breed. Moderate birth weight and smooth fronted with the thickness and depth of body that is hard to find. The whole package. Rock Solid is a meat machine. He is going to add a ton of performance and thickness to his progeny. The few calves we have had from Red Rock have all really performed well without sacrificing soundness and fleshing ability. His dam has never disappointed us and her fullblood pedigree will contribute some added hybrid vigor to Rock Solid’s calves.

Duke is a long smooth made bull that should work well on heifers. With only a 76lb birth weight he weaned off as heavy as some of the 90lb bulls. His sire Captain gave us a great set of females that we are retaining in our herd but few bull calves so Duke is the only son of him selling. Pearl is a thick broody female that is a great representation of what Captain is doing for us. Captain is from a flush between our donor dam Morgan and the great Pabst sire making him a full sister to Morgan 144T who was the high seller in the 2009 Showcase Sale for $5000. From looking at this female we will be using Captain on a lot more Tiree daughters. She has volume and thickness but still maintains femininity and that brood cow look. Her dam is turning into a tremendous young female. Her first two calves have averaged 76lbs at birth and 10% over average at weaning. She is well on her way to being a matriarch in our program, just like 76Z is sure to do.

We had no Rally Lou bulls this year and it didn’t seem right to not have at least one of his offspring in the sale so we decided to part with 74Z. Rally Lou has had a very significant impact on our program. His sons were always at the top of our bull pen and his daughters have turned into very productive females. We only get Rally progeny from AI mating now so this may be the last chance to buy a direct daughter.

Dallas just like the Exposure sons has a ton of volume and thickness. Her weaning weight was at the top of the heifer pen but she will mature into a nice framed cow. She should become the type of female that the Gelbvieh breed is known for. With Rally Lou as her grand sire you also know that she should produce high performing sons. We have always wanted to retain our Exposure daughters and they have become the type of females that work in our short grass country.

BULL BREEDING GUARANTEE All guarantees are between the buyer and the seller. All bulls offered and sold, except calves at side, are guaranteed breeders irrespective of age. All bulls after reaching the age of 15 months must be capable of settling 7 head or 75% of the eligible normal healthy breeding age females he is running with for a 90 day period, whichever is the lesser. No guarantee regarding the freezing ability of a bull’s semen is made or implied in the sale of a bull unless covered specifically in a written contract. In the case of a complaint regarding a bull’s breeding guarantee the buyer wishes to enforce the provisions of the Code shall report the same in writing to the seller enclosing a report prepared by a licensed veterinarian within 6 months of purchase or the time the bull reaches the age of 15 months whichever occurs later. The bull shall be returned to the seller at the buyer’s expense. The seller may replace the bull with a bull of equal quality or refund the purchaser’s price of the bull or he may attempt to prove the bull a breeder under the terms of this clause within 6 months. If the bull is proven to be a breeder within the 6 months provided he shall be returned by the seller to the buyer and the buyer’s expense. If he is not proven to be a breeder then replacement or, at the option of a seller, a refund is mandatory. Under no circumstances will a seller be liable for more than the purchase price of the animal sold.
