EVENTS n AmCham outreach events Country Briefing for MBA students of North Carolina University May 10th, 2010. AmCham gave a country briefing to a group of 23 MBA students at the University of North Carolina who visited Morocco during the week of May 10. The students were very much interested in learning about the business environment, the path of doing business with Morocco as well as the protocols and particulars of working in this country. AmCham offered the students the opportunity to visit a high fashion manufacturing plant in Casablanca “ SKA Mode” that manufactures for Italian and French brands such as Max Mara, Prada, Escada and others. The students were very impressed by the quality of the final products and were able to ask questions about Morocco’s competiveness in the fashion sector, wages, quality, delivery time, FTA advantages both with Europe and with the USA. The visit to Morocco was also an occasion for the students to learn about the modern Morocco, its big projects such as the port of Tangier Med, the open sky and the emergence Plan. n Board activities Farewell dinner for Board Member Imad Benmoussa, Managing Director, Coca-Cola.
