PROGRAM OVERVIEW: Enactus Students who are interested/involved in social entrepreneurship in the areas of women economic empowerment in rural areas are encouraged to apply for this 9 month program which will include training and mentorship components and on the ground activities. The Department of State considers support for women’s empowerment to be a priority. You will be asked to volunteer two days a month over a 9 month period to help women’s cooperatives by providing advice and technical support including: how to develop a business plan, marketing, and creating an online presence. Throughout the year, you will benefit from periodic training in mentorship and social entrepreneurship from U.S. and Moroccan experts. You will also receive an honorarium and a small budget to organize programs in support of your cooperatives. At the end of 9 months, volunteers will be recognized in a completion ceremony and receive certificates acknowledging their successful participation hosted by the Embassy and Enactus Morocco.
