Área abierta / Open area Marzo y abril / March and April 48 a 56 cm; envergadura: 119 a 132 cm; en vuelo, alas puntiagudas, puntas de las primarias negras. Da la impresión de una rapaz fina. La especie pasa desapercibida en Valles Centrales, pero se puede ver en marzo y abril, durante la migración, volando por encima de Yagul y Monte Albán. Pasan el invierno en Argentina. 19” to 22”; wingspan: 47” to 52”; in flight, pointed wings with black tips on primaries. Gives the impression of a slender raptor.
