Amplia distribución / Widespread Octubre a mayo / October through May 18 a 21 cm Macho: naranja, capucha negra completa, raya naranja en ala. Hembra: Baltimore Oriole como macho pero colores difusos. Macho Icterus galbula joven: sin negro en la garganta, todo anaranjado debajo. Hembra joven: como hembra de B. calandria, pero lados del cuello más cafés que el pecho. Sutiles las diferencias entre hembras jóvenes del bolsero calandria y la de Baltimore. 7” to 8”. Male: orange, complete black hood, orange wing bar. Female: like male but with less defined colors. Young male: no black on throat, orange underparts. Young female: like female of Bullock’s Oriole, but flanks have more brown than breast.
