Hoy, nuestros padres nos han dejado a las 15:00h en el aeropuerto de Bilbao y allí hemos facturado las maletas. Hemos tomado un refresco y nos hemos montado en el avión. En este nos han regalado unos auriculares para escuchar la radio o la televisión. Nos dieron de comer: arroz, albóndigas, patatas, ensalada y una mousse de chocolate. El avión tenía un baño en el que la cisterna parecía que te iba a comer cuando tirabas de ella. Cuando llegamos, cogimos las maletas, cambiamos los euros por liras turcas y nos estaban esperando con un cartel con nuestros nombres y una “limusina”. De camino al hotel pasamos por un puente que divide Asia de Europa. Por fin llegamos al hotel, era precioso y las habitaciones gigantes. Ya allí, cenamos y nos fuimos a dormir.
Today, our parents dropped us off at Bilbao airport. Once we were there, we did the check in, we had a drink and we got in the plane. In the plane, the crew gave us some headphones to listen to the radio or the television. He had some rice, meatballs, chips, salad and a chocolate mousse for lunch. The plane had a toilet and the toilet tank flushed in a way that it seemed it was going to eat us up. When we got to Istanbul, we picked up our luggage and we exchanged some Euros into Turkish liras. When we got out, there was a taxi driver waiting for us with a “limousine”. On our way to the hotel, we crossed a bridge that divides Europe and Asia. Finally we got to the hotel, which was really beautiful and the rooms were quite big. Then we had dinner and we went to bed.
Hoy a las 6:00h nos despertaron unos cánticos árabes que llamaban a la gente para ir a rezar a las mezquitas. Cuando quisimos bajar a desayunar, resultó que el comedor estaba cerrado, por lo que tuvimos que ir a un restaurante a tomar un desayuno salado típico de Turquía que incluía: queso, embutido, verduras, mermelada, miel, mantequilla y un rollito relleno de queso.
Today, we woke up at six o’clock in the morning because of some Islamic song called Ezan, the Islamic call to prayer. When we went downstairs for breakfast, we realized that the dining room was closed, so we had to go to a restaurant to have some breakfast. We has a typical Turkish breakfast with cheese, some meat, vegetables, jam, honey, butter and a cheese roll.
Más tarde fuimos a un taller, donde nos enseñaron a hacer Ebru y muñecas.
Then we went to participate in a workshop where we painted with Ebru and we made some dolls.
Por la tarde fuimos a “MiniaTurk”, un lugar en el que se ven los monumentos importantes de Estambul y Turquía, pero en miniatura.
In the afternoon we went to see Minia Turk, a museum of miniatures of the most important monuments in Istanbul and Turkey.
Después estuvimos en el otro parque, donde dimos una vuelta por los puestos. A continuación, subimos en teleférico hasta Pierre Loti, donde se divisaban unas vistas preciosas.
After that, we went to a hill called Pierre Loti, we took a cable railway and we watched some fantastic views of the city.
Fuimos a cenar y a la cama.
Then we had dinner and went to bed.
Hoy, al levantarnos, nos ha venido a buscar un autobús para ir a desayunar al colegio.
Today, we got up and a bus picked us up to go to school. We had breakfast over there.
Después hemos ensayado unas canciones y hemos hecho una coreografía. Hemos cogido instrumentos construidos con material reciclado para practicar la música de la coreografía con ellos.
Then, we learned some songs and we danced. We played some instruments made with recycled materials and we practiced the song and the dancing using the instruments.
A la hora de comer, hemos ido a un restaurante en el que estaba todo muy rico, pero no había postre.
At lunchtime, we went to a restaurant. Everything was delicious, but there was no desert.
A continuación fuimos al “Palacio Dolmabache”, que era muy grande y lujoso. En este, hace 80 años vivió Ataturk, que fue el presidente de la república de Turquía. En una de las habitaciones, él se murió de una enfermedad.
After lunch, we visited Dolmabache Palace, which was so huge and luxurious. In this palace lived Ataturk around 80 years ago, he was the president of the Republic of Turkey. He died in one of the bedrooms of this palace.
Cenamos en un centro comercial. Podíamos elegir entre hamburguesa, kebab o pizza. Les compramos unas galletas a nuestros compañeros.
We had dinner in a shopping centre. We chose among a variety of hamburgers, kebabs and pizzas. Then we got into the supermarket and we bought some biscuits for our classmates in Spain.
Más tarde fuimos al hotel y nos dimos un chapuzón en la piscina.
Then, we went to the hotel and we swam in the swimming pool.
Hoy, después de desayunar, en lugar de ir al colegio, fuimos a la parte histórica de Estambul.
Today, after having breakfast, instead of going to school, we went to see the historical monuments in Istanbul.
En primer lugar visitamos la Cisterna Basílica, en ella había columnas, agua, peces, oscuridad,…
First, we visited the Basilica Cistern. It was underground, with lots of columns, water, fish, dark…
A continuación acudimos a Santa Sofía, que fue una mezquita, una iglesia y actualmente es un museo.
Then, we went to visit Hagia Sophia, which was a mosque, then a church and nowadays is a museum.
Después, fuimos al Palacio Tokpapi, en el que se encontraban las joyas y las ropas de unos señores muy gordos.
After that, we went to see the Topkapi Palace, where we saw some beautiful jewellery and the clothes of the Sultans.
Para comer, pedimos kebab, pollo, cus cus y probamos los postres típicos turcos (baklava).
We had some kebab, chicken, couscous and baklava for lunch.
Estuvimos en la Mezquita Azul, allí nos mandaron descalzarnos y cubrirnos la cabeza con un pañuelo.
After lunch we visited the Blue Mosque, we had to take off our shoes and covered our heads with a scarf to get in.
Hicimos algunas compras en el Gran Bazar, el Mercado de las Especias, cenamos, nos duchamos y a dormir.
We did some shopping at the Grand Bazaar and the Spices Bazaar. Then we had dinner, we had a shower and we went to bed.
Esta mañana nos levantamos y nos fuimos a desayunar.
This morning we got up and had breakfast.
En el colegio ensayamos por primera vez el cuento musical, que nos salió a la primera.
At school, we practiced the story of the Firebird.
Después de comer nos dirigimos en barco hacia una isla que se llamaba “Prince Island”, donde no había coches si no carros llevados por caballos, en los que, por suerte, nos pudimos montar. También comimos un helado que estaba muy rico. Más tarde, volvimos en barco a Estambul, cenamos y nos fuimos a dormir al hotel, ya que estábamos muy cansadas.
After lunch, we got in a boat and sailed to Prince Island, an island where there were no cars, just horse-drawn carriages and we had a ride in one of them. We also had a delicious ice cream. Then we took the boat back to Istanbul, we had dinner and we went to the hotel. We were really tired.
Este es el último día que estuvimos todos juntos, ya que, desgraciadamente, nos íbamos muy pronto.
Today was the last day we were all together, because we had to leave too early the following morning.
Por la mañana desayunamos y practicamos por última vez el cuento musical sobre el Firebird, ya que lo representaríamos por la tarde delante de padres, niños y muchos más.
In the morning we had breakfast and we practiced the story of the Firebird for the last time. It was our rehearsal, because in the afternoon it was going to be the presentation for the parents, children and teachers at school.
A continuación, fuimos a comer un kebab que estaba delicioso. Llegamos hasta el teatro para representar el cuento musical. Al terminar nos dieron el ebru que hicimos el primer día y a las profesoras les entregaron un diploma de asistencia con sus nombres y los nuestros. Acudimos al hotel para terminar de preparar la maleta y además, ponernos ropa más elegante para el crucero por el Bósforo. En el crucero cenamos y también disfrutamos de algunos espectáculos. Fuimos al centro del barco a bailar hasta no poder más. Cuando llegamos al puerto, nos recogió un autobús a la una para llevarnos hasta el hotel. Una vez allí, caímos rendidas en la cama.
We had a tasty kebab for lunch. When the presentation finished, we got a present, the drawing we made using the Ebru technique and a diploma. We went to the hotel to pack and change our clothes for the Bosphorous Tour. In the cruise, we had dinner and we enjoyed a show. We danced till we were exhausted. Back in the harbor, we took the bus to go to hotel at one o’clock at night! Once we were at the hotel, we fell asleep.
Nos levantamos a las cinco de la mañana para coger el avión y llegar a casa, aunque con mucha tristeza porque no nos queríamos ir.
We woke up at five o’clock in the morning to go to the airport and take the plane. We were sad, because we didn’t want to go back home.
En el avión nos dieron de desayunar croquetas, tortilla, salchichas y yogur.
In the plane we had some croquets, omelet, sausages and yoghurt for breakfast.
Al llegar a Bilbao, nos esperaban nuestras familias para volver a casa.
Once we landed in Bilbao, our families were waiting for us to go back home.
