MONDAY M Pre-Fall 2012
Whilst last season’s collection took influence from courtship, A.K.A Wayward’s Pre-Fall 2012, draws inspiration in the lives behind the couple ; we present a little “Mockumentation” of how they spend their MONDAY MORNINGS together.
With a more relaxed attitude this season, shirts are constructed with lightweight cotton, including our favourite staple of knits in Breton stripes and solid colours - creating the ideal weekday to weekend wardrobe. Mister Wayward embodies the easy going spirit of a guy who is confident and doesn’t feel the need to show off, the pieces are simple but never basic.
This collection follows the adventures of Wayward’s colourful pair, from just another day to the plain mad - off-kilter ones. We went a little deeper and looked into their lives and discover a story behind them; a dollop of humour, a dash of character, a smidgen of magic perhaps.
It is easy to fall for Miss Wayward as she possesses a sensitive soul and a penchant for the whimsical. Tops are structured yet pieced together with soft fabrics, dresses come in featherlight suede and interesting shapes that longed to be worn - creating modern wearability with an unique image.
Just as how we feel that clothes don’t necessarily have to be complicated to be interesting, but they really do need to have character.
We believe that fashion should never be taken too seriously and if our creations don’t provoke a wry smile... well... we’re sure it would.
It is about letting things have their way, for them to simply be.
