Potential of Mauritius Dev Chamroo Director - Planning and Policy Board of Investment Proposed his opinion that Mauritius has, and will have in future, many opportunities to grow. “Foreign companies are investing in Mauritius but if they want to start operations here they also have to bring their own people as Mauritians are not able fulfil their needs. So far our youth is not able to capitalise on these opportunities because they

are not focusing on their selfdevelopment, but only on reaching education standards.” Innovation in Mauritius Yamal Matabudul Strategy and Training Manager “Innovation differs from invention in this that innovation generally signifies a substantial positive change compared to incremental changes.” Mr Yamal proposed that we don’t have to think about innovation just in a big scope, but also small improvements are important in our lives. “Main things in judging innovation are its speed and surprise. Speed in terms of how fast are entities able to implement given innovation and surprise in value of innovation”

Youth and Innovation Ashvin Ramdin Chairman Mauritius Institute of Training and Development “Nowadays times force us to have qualities of youth, such as imagination, courage and appetite for adventures for our entire life” Mr Ahsvin presented current youth as the “net generation”, as people that grew up with technologies in their daily life and are used to things as fast life style, having fun in work and need of conversation.
