1. About Seabrokers Group

Seabrokers Group is a forward-looking company that, for over 40 years, has led the way in various business areas.

Seabrokers Group has offices in Stavanger, Bergen, Hareid, Skien, Oslo, Aberdeen, and Rio de Janeiro. It also has representatives in Norwich and London.

The companies forming Seabrokers Group deliver services within shipbroking, real estate development, facility management, foundation laying, geothermal energy, dock cranes and heavy lifting equipment, maritime surveillance, and autonomous transport.

Since 1982, Seabrokers Group has been known for seeing opportunities where others see challenges. The company’s vision, “Make Waves,” is about challenging established truths and devising innovative solutions whose effects ripple out through the industry and into society beyond.

3. Seabrokers’ brand manual / Visual style guide

The visual style guide sets out clear rules for preserving the company’s visual identity and ensuring that it is used uniformly and recognizably in all situations.

A visual style guide ensures consistent and repeated use of Seabrokers’ visual identity. This is important to enable employees, customers and business partners to perceive Seabrokers as a trustworthy and professional counterpart.

The visual style guide helps renew the company’s external appearance. A better visual expression can help to boost employees’ pride in the company they are part of.

Among other things, the visual style guide sets out rules for the use of logos, colors, fonts, symbols and design elements.

The visual style guide provides employees with confidence in the direction Seabrokers will take. This, in turn, can foster a more creative and innovative corporate culture, where ideas flourish.

The visual style guide must be respected and the rules complied with by all the companies within Seabrokers Group.

4. Main logo / Seabrokers Group

The Seabrokers Group logo is subsequently referred to as the SBG logo. Exception: The Seabrokers Group negative logo should only be used when it is co-located with other graphic elements*. As of September 15, 2023, this applies to the 40th-anniversary symbol and the Make Waves logo/graphics. See pages 10, 18–23.

Pantone 306C and Reflex Blue C are the primary colors from the logo.

White and the support color

Pantone 296C can also be used on larger surfaces where use of the primary colors is inappropriate.

5.2 Support colors

The colors have been selected to add solidity, modernity and variation to the brand. Support colors have a shorter lifespan than the primary colors and, to a greater extent, can act as an indicator of time.

Support color Pantone 2241C must not be dominant. They must supplement the primary colors and are intended especially for the graphic support elements, where a clear contrast with the background is important to distinguish the objects from each other.

6. 40th-anniversary symbol

An innovative and modern anniversary symbol that stands out from other typical anniversary symbols. The design incorporates the “Forty & Forward” anniversary slogan. The symbol is carefully balanced to complement the Seabrokers logo. It can be used alongside the logo or as a standalone element. The anniversary symbol is unexpected, playful, and bold — setting it apart from the crowd.

The message is that Seabrokers has a long history, but our focus is on the future: Forty & Forward. The typography is maritime-inspired, and the shape complements the logo well.

8. Seabrokers company logos

Most of the companies that make up Seabrokers Group will continue to use the Seabrokers logo symbol (SB symbol). As of September 15, 2023, only Seabrokers Renewables has received its own symbol, where wind turbines replace the existing SB symbol’s offshore rig.

The company logos have been modernized with a contemporary font for the company names. The logos are clear and user-friendly, regardless of the media they are used in.

9. Product logos

Product logos are used only when companies in Seabrokers Group companies have developed products that support core business activities and/or assist the customer’s operations. Examples include software programs and market analysis reports.

When a company in Seabrokers Group develops a product, the name must start with SEA. Product logos can be used along with the SBG or company logo.

Products in the Seabrokers Group that will use this format include Seaportal, Sealog and Seabreeze.

Graphic design is about creating visual messages using shapes, colors, visual elements, and text. A graphic support element should be something that ties the graphic user interface together to create a unified profile.

Seabrokers has introduced a series of graphic support elements that showcase dynamism and variety within a common visual expression. This form can be used in both positive and negative instances, but only use one form at a time.

When using a graphic support element in negative, SBG profile colors must be employed. When using it on images, the images should be in a blue-tone filter to ensure that the graphics stand out and do not become visual “noise”.
