Your generosity directly supp hunger-relief partners Waiving fees in 2021 made a significant impact for hunger-relief programs. Because of the very generous financial contributions from the community in response to the pandemic, the Foodbank was positioned to extend significant support to our strained hunger-relief network in 2021. Based on their input about where the greatest needs exist, the Foodbank was able to waive all shared maintenance fees, allowing partners to invest in their capacity and other resources to better serve their neighbors. Shared maintenance fees are the shared cost of procuring, storing and distributing food to the community. Fees were waived in 2021 and our partners were extremely grateful. Thank you for your help in making this happen!

New campus saves resources for Twin City Christian Service Center The Twin City Christian Service Center food pantry has been serving community members facing hunger in Tuscarawas County for 40 years. Until summer 2021, volunteers traveled to Akron each week, spending two hours in the car navigating traffic and construction to pick up food orders. With the addition of the new Stark County Campus, drive time for the pantry has been cut in half. Because of the shorter drive, Carl Sowers, volunteer food coordinator, hopes to recruit

more volunteer drivers to help with the pantry’s order pickups. The closer proximity is less of a time commitment and is more convenient for volunteers.
