William E. Applegate III Sullivan’s Island, SC William E. Applegate III was born on June 8, 1942, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. He is a 1964 graduate from UNC and received his J.D. from USC School of Law. He practices law at Moore & Van Allen, PLLC, where he specializes in corporate, commercial real estate and regulatory matters. He previously practiced with Haynsworth Marion McKay & Guerard, LLP; McKay & Guerard; and Guerard Applegate & Trouche. Sam is a member of the American Bar Association, SC Bar and the Charleston County Bar Association. Over the years, he served as a member of the SC Senate and House of Representatives; chair of the SC Department of Health and Environmental Control; and Municipal Judge for the City of Folly Beach, SC. In 1988, he received the Order of the Palmetto and has been recognized several times in the Best Lawyers in America. He serves on numerous public and community service organizations, such as the Historic Charleston Foundation Board of Trustees, Bishop Gadsden Retirement Community Board of Trustees, Rotary Club of Charleston and the Franklin C. Fetter Family Health Center Board of Directors. His favorite memory from law school was Dean Robert M. Figg Jr. and the outstanding professors: Coleman Karesh, David H. Means, George D. Haimbaugh Jr., Robert W. Foster and Webster Myers Jr. He and his wife of 51 years, True, have four children and 10 grandchildren. Rudolph C. Barnes Jr. Little Mountain, SC Rudolph C. Barnes Jr. was born on September 16, 1942, in Columbia, South Carolina. He received his B.A. in Political Science from The Citadel in 1964, his J.D. from USC School of Law in 1967, his M.P.A. in 1979 from USC, and graduated from the U.S. Army War College in 1992. Prior to his retirement from solo practice in January 2017, he practiced law with Barnes, Alford, Stork and Johnson in Columbia from 1971 to 1986. He is a retired Colonel in the U.S. Army, JAGC. Rudy served in several capacities of the SC Bar, including a member of the Board of Governors, former chair of the Military & Veterans’ Law Section and former president of the Senior Lawyers Division. From 1978 to 1986, he served on the Columbia City Council. He was chair of the Newberry


County Water and Sewer Commission, editor of the Mid-Carolina Journal and pastor of St. John United Methodist Church in Columbia from 2000 to 2012. His favorite memory from law school was graduation. His advice for young lawyers is to consider his commentary on Religion, Legitimacy and Politics at www.religionlegitimacyandpolitics. com, but be careful about advice from old codgers. Something interesting about his family is that they have tolerated him for over 50 years and remained sane, and have done exceptionally well in their various endeavors. Charles B. Barnwell Jr. Orangeburg, SC Charles B. Barnwell Jr. was born on January 31, 1942, in Charlotte, North Carolina. He received his B.A. from Presbyterian College in 1964 and his J.D. from USC School of Law. He practices law at Horger, Barnwell & Reid, L.L.P. in personal injury and workers’ compensation. Buddy is a member of the American Bar Association, American Board of Trial Attorneys, Defense Research Trial Attorneys and the SC Bar. In 1992, he served as president of the Orangeburg County Bar Association and previously served on the SC Bar House of Delegates and its Negligence, Insurance and Workers’ Compensation Section. He was listed in Who’s Who in American Law 2nd and 6th editions. He was recognized by Presbyterian College with the Outstanding Young Alumnus Award and its Dum Vivimus Servimus Award. In 2004, he was awarded the Most Distinguished Alumni Award, Alpha Order. He is involved with the American Cancer Society, Presbyterian College Board of Visitors and the Orangeburg City Council. He and his wife Margaret have two children and five grandchildren. Hammond A. Beal Jr. Columbia, SC Hammond A. Beal Jr. was born on May 6, 1942, in New York City, New York. He received his A.B. from the University of South Carolina in 1964; Military Judge from the University of Virginia in 1969; and his J.D. from USC School of Law. He practices law at Palmetto Law Center, P.C. in the areas of bodily injury, criminal and military cases. He previously practiced with J. Wesley Drawdy and was a JAG officer in the U.S. Army.


Ham was a military judge in the case of United States v. Jeffrey McDonald, Article 32 hearing. He has been involved in Lawyers Caring About Lawyers, National Litigation Academy and the Alliance Defense Fund. His favorite memory from law school was graduation. His advice for young lawyers is “Get organized; keep your clients informed about their case; and run law practice as a business.” Something interesting about his family is that his stepson, Dr. Christopher F. Huffman, is an interventional cardiologist with Providence Heart in Columbia. Thomas M. Boulware Barnwell, SC Thomas M. Boulware was born on January 24, 1943, in Ellenton, South Carolina. He received his B.A. from Wofford College in 1964 and his J.D. from USC School of Law. He practices law at Brown, Jeffries & Boulware. His favorite memory from law school was Professor Coleman Karesh calling on Bob Cast who was absent from class. His advice for young lawyers is “Always start with prayer.” Harry S. Bryant Orangeburg, SC Harry S. Bryant was born on November 21, 1941, in Orangeburg, South Carolina. He received his A.B. from Wofford College in 1964 and his J.D. from USC School of Law. Prior to his retirement, he practiced law with Bryant, Fanning and Shuler. He is a member of the American Bar Association, SC Bar and the Orangeburg County Bar Association. Harry is president of the Wofford College National Alumni Association and is a member of First Baptist Church, Rotary Club and the Connie Maxwell Children’s Home. He was a former member of City Council. He and his wife of 53 years, Bettis have three children and six grandchildren.


Honorable Wylie H. Caldwell Jr. Florence, SC The Honorable Wylie H. Caldwell Jr. was born on August 29, 1942, in Florence, South Carolina. In 1964, he received his A.B. from the University of South Carolina and his J.D. from USC School of Law. He practiced law at Caldwell & Caldwell from 1967 to 1970; Wylie H. Caldwell Jr. from 1970 to 1980; served as a family court judge from 1980 to 2004; and continued as a retired judge for nine years. He is a member of St. Luke Lutheran Church. His favorite memory from law school was receiving orders to active duty in the U.S. Army to report two weeks before his final exams. He took his exams early and then waited six months for the next bar exam. His advice for young lawyers is “Be sure you know how to do what you advertise you can do.” He and his wife, Gwynette have been married since his freshman year in law school. Honorable G. Thomas Cooper Jr. Camden, SC The Honorable G. Thomas Cooper Jr. was born on November 2, 1940, in Wilmington, Delaware. He received his B.S. from Clemson University in 1963 and his L.L.B. from George Washington School of Law. Prior to Judge Cooper’s retirement as a Retired/Active Circuit Court Judge, he practiced law at the John C. West Law Firm. He served as Assistant Solicitor for the 5th Judicial Circuit from 1970 to 1974, and Probate Judge for Commitments from 1975 to 1978. Since 1977 he has been in private practice. In 1980 he started an active arbitration and mediation practice dealing primarily with construction matters. In 2000, he was elected as Resident Circuit Judge for the 5th Judicial Circuit by the SC General Assembly to serve the unexpired term of Costa M. Pleicones. He is a former member of the Camden Rotary Club, a Paul Harris Fellow, served on the Board of Associated Charities, the South Carolina National Bank Advisory Board, and served as President of the Congaree Land Trust. He is a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church in Camden. In 2006, he received the Matthew J. Perry Civility Award from the Richland County Bar Association. His favorite memory from law school was the year that he served as representative to the Amer-


ican Bar Association from George Washington School of Law. Judge Cooper and his wife Hope have six daughters and seven grandchildren. Walter T. Cox III Fernandina Beach, FL Walter T. Cox III was born on August 13, 1942, in Anderson, South Carolina. He received his B.S. from Clemson University in 1964 and his J.D. from USC School of Law. He is a Senior Judge, U.S. Court of Appeals for Armed Forces. He was Army Judge Advocate General Corps from 1964 to 1973; practiced law with Jones, McIntosh, Threlkeld, Newman and Cox from 1973 to 1978; Resident Circuit Court Judge, 10th Judicial Circuit, from 1978 to 1984; and practiced law at Nelson Mullins Riley & Scarborough, LLP from 2003 to 2015. He is a member of the American Bar Association and the Federal Bar Association. He is the recipient of the Order of Palmetto and Department of Defense Distinguished Service Medal. His favorite memory from law school was interacting with fellow law students in study groups, bridge games and golf matches. They became lifelong friends. His advice for young lawyers is “Do not procrastinate, answer your phone calls and mail, bill your clients fairly and above all maintain the integrity of the profession.” Honorable J. Lawrence Duffy Jr. Mt. Pleasant, SC The Honorable J. Lawrence Duffy Jr. was born on June 25, 1940, in Charleston, South Carolina. In 1962, he received his B.A. from St. Mary’s Catholic Seminary University in Baltimore, Maryland. He later attended Gregorian University School at St. Peter’s in the Vatican. In 1967, he received his J.D. from USC School of Law. Larry’s practice has included being a partner in Pritchard, Meyers, Morrison, Duffy and Bloom; Morrison and Duffy; and most recently J. Lawrence Duffy Jr. LLC. After practicing 42 years he retired from the full time practice of law and has joined his son and daughter-in-law’s firm and is of counsel. He is the Chief Municipal Judge for the Town of Sullivan’s Island and Associate Municipal Judge for the Isle of Palms. He is also one of five judges for the Town of Mt. Pleasant Municipal Court, where he has served the Town off and on since 1983. His favorite memory from law school was graduation.


His advice for young lawyers is “Be ladies and gentleman; enough can be accomplished with civility.” Sherwood N. Fender Sr. Beaufort, SC Sherwood N. Fender Sr. was born on July 21, 1940, in Charleston, South Carolina. He received his B.S. in History from Berry College in 1963 and his J.D. from USC School of Law. His favorite memory from law school was having the privilege of listening to Professor Coleman Karesh and Professor David H. Means. His advice for young lawyers is “Never pet a burning dog”; “Don’t shoot craps on a blanket”; and “Never let ‘won’t, can’t and don’t’ ride with you.” William L. Ferguson Rock Hill, SC William L. Ferguson was born on May 19, 1937, in Charlotte, North Carolina. He received his A.B. in 1959 from Davidson College and later his J.D. He served as a Captain on active duty in the U.S. Army from 1960 to 1965. Red is a shareholder and of counsel to the firm Spencer & Spencer, P.A. Prior to retiring from full time practice, he focused his practice on insurance defense, local government law, medical liability, negligence, torts and workers’ compensation. He retired as Solicitor of the 16th Judicial Circuit in 1989 after serving as Solicitor from 1977 to 1989 and Assistant Solicitor from 1970 to 1976. He is a member of the SC Bar and the York County Bar Association. James F. Flanagan Columbia, SC James F. Flanagan was born on July 29, 1942. He graduated from the University of Notre Dame in 1964 and the University of Pennsylvania Law School in 1967, where he was a member of the Law Review. Prior to joining the faculty at the USC School of Law in 1979, he served in the U.S. Army, was an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the District of Columbia, and was in private practice with Bell, Boyd, and Lloyd in Chicago, Illinois. Before his retirement in 2009, Professor Flanagan taught federal practice, federal discovery, federal and state procedure, federal and state evidence, remedies, and other trial-related courses. Jim is a member of the U.S. District Court Rules Advisory Committee in South Carolina. He served as reporter to the SC Supreme Court Rules Advisory Committee, which drafted the civil rules of


procedure for circuit courts adopted in 1985, and as reporter to the committee that drafted the Rules of Procedure for the SC Administrative Law Court. He has been a consultant on procedural issues to the courts and to the SC Judicial Council and is a member of the Fulbright Roster of Specialists. Robert F. Fuller Columbia, SC Robert F. Fuller was born on November 27, 1941, in Winnsboro, South Carolina. He received his B.A. in Economics/History from the University of South Carolina in 1964 and his J.D. from USC School of Law. Bobby is a solo practitioner focusing on zoning, permits and land use. He practiced law with McDonald, McKenzie, Fuller, Rubin, Miller & Lybrand from 1967 to 1994. He is a member of the American Bar Association, SC Bar, Richland County Bar Association and the American Judicature Society. He served as editor-in-chief for the SC Law Review, president of the Columbia Young Lawyers Association; and served six terms on the SC Bar House of Delegates. In 2009, he received the Matthew J. Perry Civility Award from the Richland County Bar Association. He is involved with the Salvation Army and is a life member of its advisory board. Bobby’s favorite memories from law school was collegial association between faculty and law students and Professor James Dreher’s practice court for the third year class. His advice for young lawyers is “Treat courts, clients and other lawyers with vigor and civility— what goes around comes around.” He has two sons, one a Presbyterian Minister and the other a veterinarian. W. Ralph Garris Columbia, SC W. Ralph Garris was born on February 1, 1943, in Columbia, South Carolina. He received his B.S. from the University of South Carolina in 1964 and his J.D. from USC School of Law. He is a solo practitioner who covers a variety of practice areas.


James R. Gilreath Greenville, SC James R. Gilreath was born on February 17, 1942, in Charlotte, North Carolina. He received his B.S. in Accounting from the University of South Carolina in 1964; his J.D. from USC School of Law in 1967; and Master of Laws degree in taxation from New York University School of Law in 1968. He practices law at The Gilreath Law Firm, P.A. in complex business transactions and litigation. He is a member of the Greenville County Bar Association, Beaufort County Bar Association, SC Bar, American Bar Association, Association of Trial Lawyers of America, SC Trial Lawyers, NC Bar Association, NC State Bar and the Public Investors Arbitration Bar Association. Jim has authored articles in the SC Law Review and in the national publication Taxation for Lawyers. In addition, he has been on the panel and lectured at a number of continuing education programs for attorneys and accountants. Allen W. Johnson Augusta, Georgia Allen W. Johnson was born on September 2, 1939. In 1962, he received his B.Ch.E. from Georgia Tech and LL.B. in 1967 from the University of Georgia. He is a solo practitioner focusing on collections, consumer law and personal injury. He previously practiced with Union Carbide and the Columbia Nitrogen Corporation. Tiger is a member of the Augusta Bar Association, Georgia Bar Association, SC Bar and the West Virginia Bar Association. He is also a member of the American Legion and founding member of the Augusta Ski Club. His favorite memory from law school was a professor called on a classmate to brief a case. He recited the facts, issues and holding. The professor said, “That was a very good reading of the “can” (canned brief which was considered an honor code violation). When asked a question about the case, the classmate responded, “The can doesn’t discuss that issue.” His advice for young lawyers is “Find out who the judge’s family members and kin are and never sue any of them.” The most interesting thing about his family is that his mother lived to be 101.


Demetrie J. Liatos Greenville, SC Demetrie J. Liatos was born on February 16, 1938, in Charleston, South Carolina. He received his B.A. from The Citadel in 1960 and in 1967 his LL.B. from the University of Richmond Law School. He is a retired solo practitioner. He is a member of the SC Bar and the SC Trial Lawyers. His favorite memory from law school was finishing. His advice for young lawyers is “Patience.” Charles B. Macloskie Beaufort, SC Charles B. Macloskie was born on November 26, 1938, in Miami, Florida. He received his B.S. from the College of Charleston in 1963 and his J.D. from USC School of Law. He is a solo practitioner with Macloskie Law Firm, in civil and criminal practice. He previously practiced law 12 years with Harvey, Battey, Maclosie & Bethea. He is a member of the SC Bar and the SC Association for Justice. His favorite memory from law school were the guys he hung around with. His advice to young lawyers is “Learn history and how to tell stories.” He has a great wife, sons and grandchildren. Mary Jo Manning Seabrook Island, SC Mary Jo Manning was born on August 6, 1942, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She received her B.A. from Hood College in Maryland in 1964 and her J.D. from USC School of law. Prior to her retirement, she worked with Wiley Rein, LLP and Wilkes Artis Hedrick & Lane and served 15 years in the House of Representatives and Senate. Mary Jo received the Distinguished Alumna Award from Hood College in 2014. She is chair and member of the board of directors with the Women’s Health Research Organization and a member of its women’s forum.


John D. McInnis Jr. Dillon, SC John D. McInnis Jr. was born on July 29, 1940. He received his B.S. from Newberry College in 1963 and his J.D. from USC School of Law. He practices law at McInnis Law Firm. He is a member of the local rotary club and was a member of the SC House of Representatives for three years. Jack’s favorite memory from law school was the end of final semester. He is married with three girls, five grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Peden B. McLeod Walterboro, SC Peden B. McLeod was born on September 3, 1940, in Walterboro, South Carolina. He received his A.B. from Wofford College in 1962 and his J.D. from USC School of Law. He practices with McLeod Fraswer & Cone. He serves on various civic and community organizations and received the Order of the Palmetto in 1998. Arthur H. McQueen Jr. Spartanburg, SC Arthur H. McQueen Jr. was born on November 14, 1941, in Mullins, South Carolina. In 1964, he received his B.A. from Presbyterian College; his J.D. from USC Law School in 1967; and LLM in Taxation from Emory University in 1982. Art practices at McQueen Law Firm, P.C., in estate planning, probate, probate litigation, elder law, corporate formations and non-profit. He previously practiced law at Perrin, Perrin & Mann; Cleveland, McQueen & Lehman; and McQueen & Lehman. He is involved with the SC Bar Elder Law Committee. He was the 1966-67 recipient of the USC School of Law Samuel L. Prince Award and was an instructor for the legal writing for the SC Law Review. He serves as president of the North Spartanburg Rotary, Kidney Foundation and Teen Center. He is a board member of Young Life, trustee and legal counsel for the South Carolina Christian Foundation, and serves on the board of trustees for Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School. His favorite memory from law school memory was the night of the final argument for the Sam-


uel L. Prince Award. His advice for young lawyers is “Work hard and enjoy the experience.” Something interesting about his family is that his wife Jayne lived with him in a dorm with 300 other men as he was the dorm counselor for Maxcy, Thornwell and Coker dorms. Jayne taught school and paid their way through law school. She put in as much time as he did in law school. Honorable George S. Nicholson Jr. Springdale, SC The Honorable George S. Nicholson Jr. was born on February 26, 1942, in Orangeburg, South Carolina. He received his A.B. from Wofford College in 1964 and his J.D. from USC School of Law. He is a Municipal Court Judge of Springdale and previously practiced law at Nicholson, Davis, Frawley, Anderson & Ayer. He was awarded a Bronze Star. He is a member of ABOTA, Lexington County Bar Association and the SC Bar. Dwight F. Patterson Jr. Spartanburg, SC Dwight F. Patterson Jr. was born on January 25, 1939, in Laurens, South Carolina. He received his A.B. from Wofford College in 1961 and his J.D. from USC School of Law. He is retired from Perrin, Mann, Patterson & Pressley, L.L.P., where he practiced law from graduation until his retirement. Dwight serves on the executive committee of the Board of Commissioners on Grievances and Discipline and is president of the Kiwanis Club of Spartanburg and serves on several non-profit organizations within the community. He was the recipient of the Justice Claude A. Taylor Distinguished Service Award from the Spartanburg County Bar Association. His favorite memory from law school was being called upon to brief a case by Dean Foster on the morning after he had been in a plane crash with three fellow law students. His advice for young lawyers is “The client comes first.” He and his wife Liz have three children and four grandchildren.


Kenneth C. Porter Greenville, SC Kenneth C. Porter was born on April 4, 1938, in Greenville, South Carolina. He received his B.A. from Wofford College in 1959 and his J.D. from USC School of Law. He was a member of the Order of the Wig and Robe. He practiced law at Porter & Rosenfeld from 1977 to 2017. Prior to that, he was a solo practitioner. Ken is very active in his church, serving in many capacities at Buncombe Street United Methodist Church. His favorite memory from law school was playing bridge during a two-hour break in second year. His advice for young lawyers is “Be kind to all court personnel; they will be more assistance to you than you will ever realize.” Ken has two daughters and four grandchildren, none of whom are lawyers or anticipate being a lawyer, although his son-in-law, David Wilson, against his advice practices law in Greenville. Joseph P. Riley Jr. Charleston, SC Joseph P. Riley Jr. was born on January 19, 1943, in Charleston, South Carolina. He received his B.A. from The Citadel in 1964 and his J.D. from USC School of Law. He is of counsel with Barr, Unger & McIntosh. In 1975, he was elected Mayor of Charleston and served for over 10 terms. After his service as mayor in 2016, he returned to The Citadel as a professor of American Government and Public Policy. Joe received the Order of the Palmetto in 1985, the Verner Award by the South Carolina Arts Commission in 1982, the Municipal Leader of the Year Award by the American City and County in 1991, the Thomas Jefferson Award from the American Institute of Architects for Public Architecture in 1994, the President’s Award from the U.S. Conference of Mayors for outstanding leadership in 2000, and was the recipient of The National Medal of Arts, presented by former President Barack Obama in 2009. His favorite memory from law school was study group with Tom Boulware, Jim Blakely and Elliot Thompson. His advice for young lawyers is “Work hard – be honest and candid.”


He has been married for 51 years to his wife, Charlotte. They have two sons. William L. Runyon Jr. Charleston, SC William L. Runyon Jr. was born on March 12, 1942, in Hardy, Kentucky. He received his B.S. in English from the College of Charleston in 1965 and his J.D. from Tulane University Law School. Prior to his current private practice, he worked with the neighborhood legal assistance program, served as assistant city attorney in Charleston and was first public defender for Charleston County. Bill’s memberships have included the SC Bar, American Bar Association, Charleston County Bar Association, SC Trial Lawyers Association, American Judicature Society, Commercial Law League, Pi Kappa Hip Fraternity, National Pilots Association, and numerous other organizations. He has served on several boards, including Charleston County Democratic Party, SC Bar Fee Dispute Resolution Committee and the Charleston County Election Commission. He has also served on the parish council at St. Joseph’s Parish, budget and allocations board at Trident United Way, N. Charleston Optimist Club, and troop committee of the Boys Scouts of America. His favorite memory from law school was .10 pay phones in New Orleans and seeing Bourbon Street for the first time. His advice for young lawyers is “Do not take a case simply because the client has $200 in his hand.” He is married to Mary, who is an educator in Charleston County. They have two sons and seven grandchildren. George P. Sullivan Anderson, SC George P. Sullivan was born on July 2, 1942, in Anderson, South Carolina. He received his B.S. from the University of South Carolina in 1964 and his J.D. from USC School of Law. He practices law at McIntosh, Sherard, Sullivan & Brousseau, focusing on real estate and probate. George is a member of the Anderson County Bar Association, various church committees, the Sertoma Club and previous member of his sons’ high school booster club. His favorite memory from law school was becoming friends with so many good people.


Russell W. Templeton Columbia, SC Russell W. Templeton was born on October 7, 1935, in Spartanburg, South Carolina. He received his B.S. from the University of South Carolina in 1963 and his J.D. from USC School of Law. Prior to Russ’ retiring, he practiced law at South Carolina Farm Bureau.

H. Wayne Unger Jr. Edisto Island, SC H. Wayne Unger Jr. was born on September 14, 1942, in Walterboro, South Carolina. He received his B.A. from The Citadel in 1964 and his J.D. from USC School of Law. Prior to his recent retirement from Barr, Unger & McIntosh, he practiced law at Jefferies, McLeod, Unger and Fraser. He was Captain in the U.S. Army from 1967 to 1969 and was commissioner of the SC Tax Commission from 1971 to 1976. Bubba’s professional association and memberships have included the American Arbitration Association, Charleston County Bar Association, Colleton County Bar Association, National Federation of Tax Administrators, and the SC Bar, where he served on the Fee Disputes Resolution Committee. His favorite memory from law school was graduation. His advice for young lawyers is “Study as much as you can!” He and his wife Ellen have been married for 50 years. They have two sons and four grandchildren.


Honorable William W. Wilkins Greenville, SC The Honorable William W. Wilkins was born on March 29, 1942, in Anderson, South Carolina. He received his B.A. from Davidson College in North Carolina in 1964 and his J.D. from USC School of Law. In 1979, he attended Command and General Staff College, U.S. Army Reserves. He practices law at Nexsen Pruet in appellate advocacy, commercial litigation, white collar criminal defense and corporate compliance. He was former Solicitor for the 13th Judicial Circuit, U.S. District Judge, Chief Judge, U.S. Court of th Appeals 4 Judicial Circuit; Chair, U.S. Sentencing Commission; Chair Criminal Law Committee and Judicial Conference of the U.S. He is chair of the Greenville County Literacy Society and Directory of the YMCA Metropolitan Board. He is a member of the American Bar Association, Inns of Court, SC Bar and the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. Judge Wilkins has received numerous civic and community service awards, including the Commendation Medal for Meritorious Service and Legion of Merit from the Department of the Army; Lifetime Achievement Award from the American Bar Association; Justice Award from the American Board of Trial Advocates; USC School of Law’s Outstanding Graduate of the Year Award, AM JUR Award and its Samuel L. Prince Moot Court Award; and the Distinguished Service Award from Wade Hampton-Taylors Jaycees and the Bonner Kidd Home. His favorite memories from law school was squaring off against Bill Howell in the final round of the Moot Court competition and being selected as editor-in-chief of the SC Law Review. His advice for young lawyers is“Never, never, never give up.” — Winston Churchill. His greatest joy is spending one on one time with his 12 grandchildren.
