On Saturday January 31st, 2015, 3 local artists walked in honor of Jackie Robinson on what would‟ve been his 96th birthday. The walk was to demonstrate qualities that reflected Robinson‟s character: love, peace, & unity. The artists who walked were DOMINANCE, Jangles, & Bing Bing. But it was more than just a walk on Jackie Robinson‟s birthday, it was also the 150th day of abolished slavery in America.

Pasadena „Azo”, who just released a new single “We Ready” produced by JDM. Azo met up with local native & artist L3 to shoot the music video just up from La Pintoresca Park. Check it out on YouTube.

“We Are Local Artists”

The Pasadena Music Scene movement was inspired when a network of local artists realized that there was no solid platform for them to get exposure. This publication is a result of local artists in the community empowering themselves to make a difference. The Pasadena Music Scene is ran by artists in the Pasadena community. The Pasadena Music Scene is a product of ThaWilsonBlock.

T h a W i l s o n B l o c k M a g a z i n e I s s u e 2 4 ( O u r 2 - Y e a r A n n i v e r s a r y I s s u e ) As with all of our magazine issues, it‟s a must that we are proud of the work before we publish. For our 24th edition and 2-year anniversary issue, we wanted to showcase our primary target: Local Artists. thawilsonMAG24 features exclusive, authentic content from Pasadena artist Gangsta Ric‟s perspective and photos of Tha Iconic 42mile Walk for Love, Peace, & Unity. This issue is special to us because it shows us how far we‟ve come, and how far we have to go. We chose to feature Pasadena artist Gangsta Ric because we‟ve seen the investment he‟s made in his craft and feel it would serve as a good

example for aspiring artists who are looking to pursue a career in music. In an exclusive interview on WilsonBlock100 Radio, G-Ric gives us insight on his journey and the things that have brought him to this point in his career. He‟s an artist that believes in what he puts out. The timing was also right because he just recently released his 1st album “Keep It G” with features & collaborations

from artists all over LA. Be on the look out for GRic‟s upcoming events and projects make make sure you stay tuned to ThaWilsonBlock Magazine for further exclusives.
