New

York, New York [Official Video]

Rating & Review by Mistah Wilson

Starts off good. Raiche is definitely eye candy. I found myself trying to study her beautiful appearance while tha scenes of tha music video cut. I haven't been to New York yet, but this video only makes me want to go even more. I'm a big CITY guy so I loved watching tha different scenes representing daily life in tha big apple. From performing on stage, enlarged crosswalks, and pizza bytha slice, Raiche was able to incorporate so much of what makes New York so great.

This song proves that R&B never died

out. Sometimes, you just gotta know where to look. She has a very sexy voice that matches her iconic look. I can't say I'm crazy about tha song itself, but I'm definitely feeling tha vibe. And vibe is important when it comes to music and tha artists we resonate with. Overall production feels more like a commercial than a music video. The song could've easily lasted another 60 seconds at least. Nonetheless, it doesn't take away from tha quality of this production for both tha song and video.

Raiche, to me, is like Erykah Badu

meets Keyshia Cole. I look forward to checking out more of her stuff to gain more contrast on her general style. Personally, I think tha game needs more songs like this in tha mainstream. As I've grown older, I appreciate more smooth, instrumental, vibe type music. I would say this song can pass fot mood music. I give it a moderately low replay value because it also has a generic feel to it that doesn't set it too far apart from similar sounding songs.

"Way Maker" | J. Walker of TLD

Review & Rating

Sounds good the moment I pressed play. I remember this hook from somewhere but I can't quite call it. Honestly, it feels a bit "manufactured", but tha message, wordplay, & delivery is on point. When artists share their story and testimony, there really aren't any right or wrong answers. Shout out to J. Walker for giving God praise for being his 'Way Maker'. Producer did his thing sampling tha chrous and was able to pull off a fantastic introduction. I would definitely play this song on WilsonBlock1000 Radio. These are tha types of songs we gotta put on our playlist so that we can influence ourselves in tha best way possible.

For anyone who loves music, you gotta feel tha soulfulness in this cut right here. Kinda gives me East Coast Boom Bap vibes, just with a sped up tempo. I like Walker's flow and how his lyrical delivery hugs tha beat. With this song, J. Walker proves that good music is coming out of tha UK. Definitely worth giving a listen to. I would say this song has a moderate replay value. Surely worthy to be added to your favorite playlist. Not too much I'm not feeling about this joint.

Lane Shuler has dropped slower reflective video today for track 'Jehovah' as we enter a New Year

After a year of highs (collaborating with legendary MC Rob Sonic, and Rhymesayers producer Sol Messiah) and lows (the murder of friend and crew member Alonzo Rodgers) Lane Shuler leans in to a softer and nostalgic sound to close out his "Season 3" release run with new single ‘Jehovah’
