Why linen? The finest 100% linen is one of the purest cloths there is. It is light and comfortable, and has a coolness and absorbency that make it ideal for sunny days. It is an ideal fabric for children's sensitive skins and especially good for those with skin conditions, such as allergies and eczema, because it has a natural pH balance. Linen is very environmentally friendly. It comes from flax and every part of the plant is used. The finest fibers are used to make linen fabrics and the by-products are used to make everything from oil to cattle feed to bank notes and fiber board. Waste is minimal and any chemicals used are always fully treated before disposal.

Why Cotton? For all of it’s natural state as a fiber, cotton had become over the years a rather unfriendly to the environment crop. That’s changing. Over the past few decades, cotton growers have reduced their need for pesticides by 50%. They’ve cut back on their use of irrigated water by 45%. And they produce substantially higher yields on virtually the same acreage. Research has played a significant role in developing uses for the cotton plant, including its byproducts, thereby reducing and eliminating what had once been considered to be bio-waste. Need we mention how comfortable and breathable cotton is, particularly in the spring and summer heat?

Why bamboo? Bamboo is an eco-friendly, sustainable crop that grows wild without the aid of fertilizers or pesticides. Bamboo fabric is naturally antibacterial, antifungal and antistatic.
