History: LamanBlu™ is ecofriendly contemporary apparel for every little princess and prince charming. The collection debuted to rave reviews in 2009 and is made entirely in the USA. Holli Gibson, designer for LamanBlu™, is an industry veteran, who spent much of her career designing clothing for women out of Dallas and New York for high end retailers including Neiman Marcus and Nordstrom. She is also the recipient of The Rising Star Award for Design from Fashion Group International and the recipient of 303 Magazine’s Award for the most influential fashion folk in Denver.
LamanBlu’s mission is to Celebrate Childhood. We do this by crafting beautiful apparel with exquisite detailing. LamanBlu™ is a fashion-forward collection, but we are also concerned about our world, and want to do our part to protect it for our children. We evaluate the supply chain on everything we buy, to bring you the quality you expect, the design you want, the comfort your children demand, and do it all with as little a carbon footprint as possible. We use eco-friendly fabrics which are gentle to our environment and to a child’s delicate skin and work with our suppliers and dyers and printers to improve the environmentally friendly qualities of all our products. We are fully CPSIA compliant and manufactured entirely in the USA, much of our production is in Colorado. All of this is done for the love of every little princess and prince charming. And we always keep their joy in mind – from comfort to whimsical delight.

Today: LamanBlu is eco-friendly contemporary apparel for every little princess and prince charming. It is a pretty, girly, twirly collection (with smart styling for brother) that is designed to take a child through their entire day, from holding court in the morning to fighting dragons in the afternoon.

RESPONSIBILITY:
We have a responsibility to protect our children. We support charities protecting children and protecting our world for them. We are actively involved in several charities both through direct volunteerism and financial support. You can read more about our charitable contributions on our website.
ECO-FRIENDLY: We’ve said it before, but doing the best we can every day to make ecofriendly choices is one of our core values.
Doing our part for the environment doesn’t end with the products we use and the way we conduct our business: we believe there’s more to it than that. Each day we think of improving our environment; from providing a place where our employees enjoy working and sharing in the excitement of what we do, to being involved in our community activities and fund raising organizations. In the end, we’re just like you; trying our very best to do our part for the environment.
SUPPORT LOCAL BUSINESS: We have experience doing business all over the globe, but we choose to do business at home – the closer the better. We manufacture everything in the USA, much of it in Colorado. We also work with other local designers and entrepreneurs to grow the fashion industry in Colorado. Holli Gibson was awarded the 303 Magazine Award for her efforts in these regards. She also teaches fashion at Emily Griffith Technical College and helps run the Denver Design Incubator to further these efforts.
ACTIVE-LIFE STYLE: We know children insist on being comfortable and have ease of movement no matter what they’re wearing, and we want them to feel free to be active and express themselves all while dressed beautifully. All our styles go through extensive wear testing by real kids. Whether they’re twirling around the room or hanging on the monkey bars, their clothing has to move with them, and even delicate looking clothing has to be durable enough to stand up to a child’s day.
TREASURE FAMILY TIME:
We want you to build a relationship with your family, not your dry cleaner. We are advocates for mom’s busy lives and everything in our collection is machine washable. “Easy to wear, easy to care” is one of our mantras.
QUALITY: Quality comes from years of industry and production experience. We build it in from step one in the design process, from fabric selection to fit and patternmaking. We study real children and the way they move to create clothing that will fit perfectly, comfortably and consistently across our brand. Quality is in the details, from wash testing and wear testing to the trims we use. It’s focusing on the little things that allows us to provide value in our brand and our product. It’s quality clothing for people seeking a certain quality of life. Better yet, a quality experience, a memory for life.
Personality: It’s our tone. Our attitude. How we express the core values of our brand. Personality can’t be told – it has to be felt. All little girls are princesses, and LamanBlu celebrates the princess (or prince charming) in each one of them. We love the spontaneity of childhood and always look at the positive.
