Campers must be registered by 5:00 pm Wednesday the week prior to the camp week.
HOW TO REGISTER
ONLINE: Register online at wheelingparkdistrict.com. An account
with User ID and password is required to access the system. IN-PERSON: In-person registration can be taken at the Community Recreation Center, located at 100 Community Boulevard, Wheeling. Please check our website for current CRC Guest Service hours at www.wheelingparkdistrict.com.
WHAT DOES RESIDENT / NON-RESIDENT MEAN?
“Resident” means you live within the Wheeling Park District boundaries. In addition, all children enrolled as students in School Districts 21 and 23 are granted in-district resident rates. Non-resident guests are always welcome to take part in programs and activities.
WAYS TO PAY
Payment is accepted by cash, check and credit card (Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express).
PAYMENT PLANS/FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
Payment plans may be set up during an in-person registration prior to the start of camp in some instances. Additionally, Wheeling Park District residents may apply for financial assistance no later than than 5:00 pm Wednesday two (2) weeks prior to the camp week. CAMP REFUND POLICY
To withdraw from a session of camp and receive a refund, a request must be submitted by 5:00 pm Wednesday prior to the start of the camp week. A $25 per transaction service charge is applied to all approved refund requests.
CAMP TRANSFER POLICY
To transfer to a different camp or session, a request must be submitted by 5:00 pm Wednesday prior to the start of the camp week. The first three (3) approved transfer requests are free of charge. Any additional transfer requests will have a $10 service charge per transaction.
PROGRAM CANCELLATION
The Wheeling Park District reserves the right to cancel, postpone or combine camps as necessary. A camp may be cancelled due to low enrollment.
PARENT HANDBOOK
Parent Handbooks will be available online and at the CRC starting on February 1. Parent handbooks cover everything you need to know about attending camp including lunch, swimming, what to bring, codes of conduct, medical information and more.
COVID-19 INFORMATION
Our camps are designed to adhere to COVID-19 health and safety guidelines required by IDPH/DCEO. This may include wearing a mask. It is anticipated that guidelines and recommendations will evolve between now and summer. We will communicate any adjustments.

The Wheeling Park District is committed to conducting its recreation programs and activities in a safe manner and holds the safety of participants in high regard. The Wheeling Park District continually strives to reduce such risks and insists that all participants follow safety rules and instructions that are designed to protect the participants’ safety. However, participants and parents/guardians of minors registering for this program/activity must recognize that there is an inherent risk of injury when choosing to participate in recreational activities/programs. You are solely responsible for determining if you or your minor child/ward are physically fit and/or adequately skilled for the activities contemplated by this agreement. WARNING OF RISK
Recreational activities are intended to challenge and engage the physical, mental and emotional resources of each participant. Despite careful and proper preparation, instruction, medical advice, conditioning and equipment, there is still a risk of serious injury when participating in any recreational activity. All hazards and dangers cannot be foreseen Depending on the particular activity, certain risks, dangers and injuries may exist due to inclement weather, slips and falls, poor skill level or conditioning, carelessness, horseplay, unsportsmanlike conduct, premises defects, inadequate or defective equipment, inadequate supervision, instruction or officiating and other risks inherent to the particular activity. In this regard, it is impossible for the Wheeling Park District to guarantee absolute safety.
WAIVER AND RELEASE OF ALL CLAIMS AND ASSUMPTION OF RISK
Please read this form carefully and be aware that in signing up and participating in this program/activity, you will be expressly assuming the risk and legal liability and waiving and releasing all claims for injuries, damages or loss which you or your minor child/ward might sustain as a result of participating in any and all activities connected with and associated with this program/activity (including transportation services and vehicle operations, when provided). I recognize and acknowledge that there are certain risks of physical injury to participants in this program/ activity and I voluntarily agree to assume the full risk of any and all injuries, damages or loss, regardless of severity, that my minor child/ward or I may sustain as a result of said participation. CampDoc.com offers a health-record system designed for camps that allows parents to complete and store camper health information electronically.

The security and privacy of camper health information is important to us. The CampDoc.com site is secure, encrypted and password protected. Only Wheeling Park District staff have access to camper health information.
You will receive an “Invitation” email from CampDoc.com • Click on the green “Accept Invite” link within the email to create a CampDoc.com account. • Enter your full email address and click continue to set your password.

ALL CAMPERS • Once logged in, select your camper’s name and click on the health profile link to complete your camper information; those enrolled last summer, need only to update, if necessary, previously submitted information. • Required questions are marked with an * and outlined in red. • Return to CampDoc.com at any time to make changes or update camper health information before camp begins. Camper health information is saved from year-to-year; once you complete it in CampDoc.com, you won’t have to start from scratch next year. CampDoc.com sends out periodic emails to notify you of updates and incomplete health information. These notifications come from CampDoc.com, so please add the website to your safe-sender list to avoid accidental delivery to junk and spam folders. We wouldn’t want you to miss important notices about camp! New User: If you are brand new to our district, please click the ‘Create an Account’ button and enter in your information and the information of all household members that reside at your address. Registered User: If you or anyone in your household has EVER registered for any Wheeling Park District program or membership, you have an active park district account. Do NOT create a new account. If you do not know your password, please select ‘Forgot Password’ to reset your password. If further assistance is needed please contact us at 847.465.3333 or frontdesk@wheelingparkdistrict.com.
Step 3: Once logged in with your name displayed in the upper right hand corner, type in the program code in Program Search or select Program Search to be taken to the Activity Page Step 4 5-Day Camps Option: Select the Add to Selection Plus Sign then select the “Add to Cart” from the bottom pop-up. Skip to Step 7.
Flex Camps Option: Select the “Go To Calendar” to bring up the dates for the camp you are choosing.
Select the green plus sign (+) to ddd. Select the blue minus sign (-) to delete. All selected options will pop up at the bottom of the screen. Once you finish selecting all days for that camp, click on “Add to Cart” at the bottom of the screen.

Step 5: Check the box next to each desired registrant and select “Continue”.
Step 6: Complete waiver form by checking on the waiver agreement box and select “Continue”.
Step 7: The days you are registering each participant for will appear in your shopping cart. To add more camps, select Continue Shopping. If done shopping, click Checkout.
Step 8: Review the Summary of Charges and select Continue. Step 9: On the Payment Screen, enter payment information and select Continue to complete. Step 10: Once your registration has been completed, a receipt will be sent to your email from frontdesk@wheelingparkdistrict.com. You may need to check your spam folder following your first transaction. Step 10: You will be sent an email within two (2) business days from CampDoc inviting you to join our Camp Group and add your camper’s information. This information MUST be completed before camper may attend camp.
