Bringing Family & Community Together Through Recreation Since 1934!

Welcome to WA-WM Recreation & Community Services Summer Greetings from your Director……

The WAWM RCS 2018 Summer Activity Guide is full of ways to get active, be social, enjoy life, and get outdoors. This summer we are offering MORE great classes, camps, and special events than ever before! What would summer be without the sound of splashing at our pools? We strongly encourage you to register early as summer swim lessons fill up fast. We are entering our second summer of offering three different summer camps that provide high quality care for our community’s children during the summer months, located at Nathan Hale High School, Horace Mann Elementary School, and Frank Lloyd Wright Intermediate School. Head right to page 29 & 30 to see the action packed line up of themes, activities, trips, and more that each of our camps have to offer. All are invited to the 2nd Annual West Allis Summer Youth Theater’s production of “Disney’s The Lion King Jr.” It is going to be a spectacular show. If your child loves theater but not the thought of being on stage, then register them for our all new Youth Theatre Stage Crew class. There is plenty of fun and excitement for the grown ups this summer too! With Co-Ed Pumpkin Ball, a Morning Paddle Trip, new Fitness classes, and our brand new Young At Heart programs. We are honored and humbled to continue to serve the communities of West Allis and West Milwaukee with great FREE services such as our Summer Playground Programs, Summer Children’s Meals Program and the fun of the July 2nd Parade and Festival. This is just a brief snapshot of all that your WAWM RCS team is working on for the summer. Take some time and browse through the guide, we believe there is something for everyone, but if not, please contact us. We are always looking to grow! Did you know that this past fall, 99% of the participants who responded to our survey, shared that the programs and services of the WAWM RCS are valuable to the quality of life in the community. On behalf of your dedicated Recreation and Community Services Team, we thank you for the opportunity to serve you, your family and our communities of West Allis and West Milwaukee as we strive to make this a district of choice.
