A message from the HEAD of SCHOOL ————————————————————————— Dear Members of the Baldwin Community, I am excited to share with you our 2015-2016 State of the School Report. It was an exciting and transformative year, as well as an extremely successful one. A strong foundation was laid for my arrival as Baldwin’s 8th Head of School. I’m incredibly grateful to join such a thriving community. The 2015-2016 academic year was full of many notable achievements for our students – from our Baldwin Scholars’ meaningful research projects to our Lower School DREAM Lab’s soap box derby cars to more than 20 of our student-athletes being recognized as Athletes of the Week, All-Inter-Ac, All-Main Line and All-American. One of the year’s most exciting events was the opening of The Simpson Center for the Performing Arts in Honor of Lois Goutman. Thanks to 1,445 donors, we raised over $4.2 million to complete this state-of-the-art facility that offers our Baldwin girls incredible opportunities to stretch their creative talents. As we celebrate these accomplishments, we continue to find new ways to prepare our girls to be confident, accomplished women with vision, global understanding and the determination to make enduring contributions to the world. I thank each of you for your commitment to our School and look forward to all that we’ll accomplish together for future generations of Baldwin Bears.
