Registration Information and Policies

HOW TO REGISTER:

• Register online at www.recreater.com

• Call 301-600-2936, have your program number (i.e. #24099) and credit card number ready.

You will receive a registration confirmation via e-mail after your registration is complete so please make sure your e-mail is current in our system. Be sure to verify your receipt for accuracy.

ACCOMMODATIONS

We are able to offer reasonable accommodations, such as providing support staff to individuals with disabilities on an as-needed basis to assist in making the program a positive experience for the individual. To request accommodations, please call 301-600-2936 at least two weeks prior to the program start date.

REFUND POLICY

Our refund policy encourages early decisions, so as to not affect other customers or our ability to deliver efficient programs. All requests for refunds must be made at least 10 business days prior to the start of the program. A 20% administrative fee will be charged per refund transaction. There are no refunds for missed sessions/ classes. Refunds for Sports League registrations must be made prior to the listed league registration deadline. There are no refunds for missed sessions/classes.

AGE POLICY

Program participants must be the advertised age of the program before the program ends. All age requirements are set to benefit the participants and to make sure the instruction is consistent and safe.

PROGRAM CANCELLATIONS/ WEATHER-RELATED CLOSURES

Please refer to the session meeting dates in your Active Net account, or see your instructor on the first day of your program for a schedule. If there is a change in the schedule, you will be informed by Parks and Recreation staff of the update. If you are not sure whether a program will be held, call our program cancellation line at 301-600-6291. During inclement weather, outdoor programs may be cancelled. Every effort will be made to make-up missed classes. Refunds will not be granted for rescheduled classes that are missed due to conflicts with personal schedules. The Division of Parks and Recreation may cancel a program for any reasonable cause.

TeamSnap is a new way of communicating and scheduling in the sports world.

With this helpful app, participants will receive all information they need from the league commissioner and coaches in the palm of their hands!

Parents/participants will receive an email invite from the league commissioner prior to the first practice, and all you have to do is accept.

After accepting, you will gain access to your team assignment, practice schedule, game schedule and more.

Equipment: Team jersey and flag belt/flags are included. Cleats are recommended but not required.

Teams will be guaranteed a minimum of one game per week. All teams must have at least 1 female on the court at all times.

MEN’S LEAGUES

Season: Wednesdays, 4/19-6/14

A commitment of 1 night per week is needed for this 7v7 men’s league.

Games: Games will be played Wednesday evenings on the Utica District Turf Field Complex. Game times vary between 6:00 pm10:00 pm. Approx. 7 regular season games prior to post-season playoff.

MEN’S LACROSSE PICK-UP

$49 per player

Season: Thursdays, 3/30-5/25

LEAGUE

A commitment of 1 night per week is needed for this 16+ men’s pickup league. Participants form their own teams and self-officiate. Play will be limited to stick checks and minimal (involuntary) body checks.

Meetings: Games will be played Thursday evenings on the Turf Field at Othello Park. Game play between 7:00 pm-9:00 pm.

Equipment: XL reversible jersey included. All athletes must provide their own equipment (helmet, sticks, gloves, shoulder pads, arm pads, etc).

Games will be played in a best of 3 format (first team to get two wins). Each team is allowed up to 3 players on a team.
