Wendel Whisenhunt Sports Complex

USA Softball Hall of Fame Complex

Mountain View Champions Park

Wendel Whisenhunt Sports Complex’s sole adult baseball field is not prepared to take on large tournaments, but the quality is worth noting here for adult leagues and events. The complex, which was named after the city’s former Parks and Rec Director Wendel Whisenhunt, also has ADA-accessible spectator areas, restrooms and a concession stand.

Building on its foundation in OKC, USA Softball added the USA Softball Hall of Fame Complex to its headquarters in 1987. Along with OGE Energy Field, which features a capacity of 13,000 and a three-story press box, there are three additional on-site softball fields and the National Softball Hall of Fame and Museum. The complex has played host to the World Cup of Softball, Border Battle, the highly-touted NCAA Women’s College World Series and more.

This 21.5-acre community park was designed to be fully accessible to people experiencing disability. There are many special design features such as wider pathways, no steps and the first synthetic sports field in Oregon created for athletes of all abilities. This Tualatin Valley park may only have one grass baseball/softball field, meaning it’s not for big tournaments, but its 6,500 square-foot inclusive play area and community gardens make it an amazing venue for leagues and other baseball/softball events.
