Preschool enrichment programs are designed for children ages 3-5 and must be potty trained, unless otherwise noted. All programs meet at Olathe Community Center unless otherwise noted. If you see the class session is full, please put yourself on a wait list. Once there are enough on the wait list another class session will be opened up.
Amazing Alphabet • 10-11 AM
The Alphabet has never been more fun! We will immerse ourselves in a different letter by reading a story and participating in activities such as art, singing, movement and dramatic play. 2019 Dates: 1/24, 2/21, 3/28, 4/18, 5/23, 6/20, 7/18, 8/22, 9/19, 10/17, 12/19
Book Cooks • 10-11 AM
Join us as we stir up eager readers and eager cooks! Prepare a recipe related to the book we read. 2019 Dates: 1/8, *1/10, 2/12, *2/14, 3/5, *3/7, 4/2, 4/4, 5/7, 5/9, 8/6, 8/8, 9/3, 9/5, 10/1, 10/3, 11/5, 11/7, 12/3, 12/5 *Program also offered from 1:30-2:30 PM
Creative Colors • 10-11 AM
Tap into our creative side and learn about artists and their various styles. Read a different story showcasing a specific artistic style, learn about an artist and then become an artist. 2019 Dates: 1/22, 2/19, 3/26, 4/16, 5/21, 6/18, 7/16, 8/20, 9/17, 10/15, 11/19, 12/17
Little Reactors • 10-11 AM
Let’s get our hands dirty and become scientists! Along with a story, preschoolers conduct fun and sometimes messy science experiments. Holiday Hoopla • 10-11 AM
Create a variety of projects relating to the holidays and socialize with parents and other preschoolers. Parent involvement is required. Ages 2-5. 2019 Dates: 1/29, 4/23, 6/25, 9/24, 11/26
Preschool Bonanza • 9 AM-NOON
Parents enjoy a morning out while your child gets a taste of preschool! Preschoolers will enjoy a variety of activities from arts, outdoor play, reading as well as swimming in the zero depth entry at the Olathe Community Center. 2019 Dates: 1/11, 2/15, 3/8, 4/5, 5/10, 8/16, 9/6, 9/20, 10/4, 10/18, 11/1, 11/15, 12/6, 12/20
Fun In the Sun • 9 AM-NOON
Enjoy a variety of activities from arts, crafts, outdoor play, reading, weekly Mahaffie field trips, and swimming at the Olathe Community Center.
