Vital documents are the paperwork that in a moment of crisis proves the who, what, where, and when’s of our lives. When a natural disaster or medical crisis happens not only can we not trust our memory, but we need help too. Agencies, organizations, law enforcement, medical personnel need information to help us. This workshop will explain which paperwork to keep, how to organize it, where to store it, how to maintain them, and why it’s important to talk to your friends and family.

Medicare 101

The Oregon Cascades West Council of Governments (OCWCOG), in partnership with the Senior Health Insurance Benefits Assistance (SHIBA) program is holding a Medicare class that will cover the basics of Medicare parts A, B, C, and D. This class is designed for anyone who will be eligible for Medicare within a few months or is new to Medicare. Current beneficiaries who would like a better understanding of their Medicare benefits and options will also find this class valuable. Spouses and other relatives are welcome to attend.
