Sharon Davies Professor Sharon Davies studies the intersection of race and crime. The former assistant United States attorney has prosecuted hardened criminals in federal court and now serves as executive director of Ohio State’s Kirwan Institute for the Study of Race and Ethnicity. In her Race and Crime class, students investigate racial profiling, sentence disparities, use of excessive force, and prisoner re-entry.
