St. Mary, Star of the Sea, Catholic Church Assistant Musical Director Katherine Alexandra will join pianist and vocalist Brian Gurl for “Four Hands — One Piano,” a two-person vocal and piano performance at 8 p.m. Saturday, June 27, and 2 p.m. Sunday, June 28, at the Manatee Performing Arts Center, in Bradenton. The show will include performances by both Alexandra and Gurl. “This will be very interesting because it’s going to be a mixture of classical, pop, Broadway, gospel and some rock ’n’ roll,” Alexandra said. Property owners seeking to rent their Key homes for less than 30 days will be receiving a call from the town’s code enforcement officer.

Property owners are permitted to rent their residential property for a period of less than 30 days once a year. All other rentals for that same property must be 30 days or more for the remainder of the year. The ordinance’s goal is to reduce short-term rentals on the island.
