Back to work… The public sector, like most sectors, is under extreme financial pressure and with the likelihood of considerable funding cuts in the near future, the emotional health of senior managers and its employees may be at serious risk. Joy’s Health at Work Services can help a workforce survive such turbulent events by providing a range of options that address the everyday practical health problems of office workers, as well as the more insidious issues of stress that are severely heightened in periods of uncertainty. Joy’s Health at Work Services can provide the employer with a series of structured courses and bespoke workshops. These can help address the following problems: back pain, stress management, RSI (Repetitive Strain Injury), mental health difficulties (including depression), persistent headaches and migraine, and specific single issues, eg. dealing with asthma, bullying and post-traumatic solutions. LAMBETH COUNCIL Joy Anderson, CEO of YogaForBackPain, was instrumental in successfully setting up and establishing an annual Health Week for Lambeth Council Senior Managers in August 2005. This entailed a local group of therapists offering their services, free of charge, to promote health in the workplace. It was a pilot project and after two years of volunteering our services, Lambeth Council now has funding to provide pay for the therapists whilst giving a free service to its employees.

Joy’s Health at Work Services can be adapted to suit a variety of corporate solutions, eg. bespoke workshops and individual programmes, consultative and diagnostic services and back to work action plans. On-site Workshops/Classes/Treatments Joy’s Health at Work Services can be facilitated in the workplace as part of a specific programme, or as one-off taster sessions, which are highly effective as icebreakers at conferences, educational demonstrations or as part of team bonding activities. Consultative and Diagnostic Services If required, Joy can provide an evaluation of corporate needs and will work closely with the employer to develop Health in the Workplace action plans with costed solutions.
