NEW AT MOUNT BULLER Like the snow? Want to stay at a ski-in ski-out location? A new YHA is opening soon at Mt Buller in Victoria offering great budget accommodation right next to the ski lifts. The old Mt Buller YHA is no more and in its place is a purpose-built ski lodge close to cafes and restaurants. The hostel will have multi-share, private and family rooms with ensuites, a drying room, lounge and kitchen (mid week). Off-peak rates mid-week will start from $72 (two nights) multi-share, and $270 private room. THREDBO SKI SEASON Thredbo YHA is an award-winning lodge in the heart of Thredbo alpine village, with cosy (but not costly) shared, twin, and ensuite rooms, plus a 4-person studio apartment. Peak season prices from $186 per person weekend (two nights) and from $156 per person mid-week (two nights). The 2013 ski season runs from 8 June to 6 October (Mt Buller) or 7 October (Thredbo).
