He is the author of “The Rainman’s Cure: An Irregular Education.” This will be a unique and particularly engaging event - yet another wonderful evening of great speakers, food, and camaraderie. The good news is that we have a new music school for youth of all ages starting in the Garzot/Duffield building, run by Ali and Warren Mann, of Mini Music. SEBASTOPOL CHARTER

TeensWork is designed to help teens gain much needed job skills in preparation for entering the work force as young adults. Services are offered free of charge, and include classroom instruction, mentoring, help writing a resume, educational workshops, experiential learning opportunities and support in obtaining a job. Participating businesses are assured that the teens placed with them are qualified for the jobs involved. Because a job is an important milestone in completing the journey from adolescence to adulthood, TeensWork supports youth in taking a critical step toward self-reliance and independence. SEBASTOPOL’S FIRST GYMNASTICS CAMP The camp where rolling on the floor is acceptable, and climbing on the “furniture” is praised: For 5 days, the Sebastopol Community Cultural Center is turned into a tumbling, swinging, jumping, hanging, vaulting and bouncing funhouse. Your child will be immersed in gymnastics skills, innovative brain challenges, superfun engaging games and crazy obstacle courses that will grow their skills and build their confidence. Gymnastics skills on bars, beams, floor exercise, vaulting, rings and mini-trampolines. Children of all levels will have a great time! Outdoor fun and parachute games too! Daily snacks provided. Fun with a Focus: Led by longtime Sebastopol gymnastics director and coach Steve Sassone with his staff, this camp promises to give every child many positive experiences. Apple Blossom School

This is a performing arts workshop designed for students completing third grade-seventh grade. It concludes with a public performance on June 16th at 7pm. Students will learn the tools of acting, character development and script work, and play and perform improvisational games. Self-confidence is enhanced through this work and school performance often improves. Actors will have the opportunity to collaborate, communicate and be part of a creative community.
