Anatomy and Physiology A study of the anatomical structure of the human body. Body structure will be studied by organ systems and will involve a balance between gross anatomical study and histology. CPT Procedural Coding I This course will focus on the CPT coding manual rules and regulations. Detailed study of the format and use of applicable modifiers in the hospital/physician office settings; provides a detailed study of Evaluation and Management, Anesthesia, Surgery (Integumentary, Musculoskeletal, Respiratory, Cardiovascular and Female Sections of the CPT manual). ICD-9 Diagnostic Coding I This course will focus on the ICD-9 CM coding manual rules and regulations. Dental Assistant

As a Dental Assistant you will be trained to work directly with the Dentist in the treatment area. You will room the patient, perform documentation, pass dental materials and instruments, provide patient education and oversee inventory control and order dental supplies. EKG Technician

An EKG Technician will perform EKG testing, coordinate Holter monitoring and perform stress tests in a hospital laboratory, doctor’s office or clinic. Health Services are in high demand. Increasing numbers of elderly persons will increase the need for this profession. This program is designed to prepare graduates for a career as an EKG Technician. Veterinary Assistant

Students will learn how to assist the Veterinarian or the Veterinarian Technician in their daily tasks. Students will learn proper handling and procedures for examination of pets for signs of illness, disease, or injury through practical training. Instruction includes legal, ethical and professional standards as well as nutrition basics for animal care. Also covered are hygiene and sterilization techniques used for laboratory and surgical equipment as well as maintenance and management of a veterinary setting. This training is appropriate for those seeking employment in veterinary practices, laboratories, animal hospitals, shelters and clinics. Total Hours: 59 hours which includes 35 hours of classroom instruction and 24 hours of volunteer field work. Each student will be responsible for coordinating his/her volunteer experience. Skills, Tasks, and Results Training (START) ECDV 5006 This program was developed by the American Hotel & Lodging Educational Institute and is a one year curriculum that gives high school students, workers seeking a career change and people re-entering the workforce, the real-world knowledge and skills needed for a longterm career in the lodging industry.
