Velkommen til World Cup i trampolin og tumbling 2013 På vegne af Odense Kommune er det mig en stor fornøjelse at byde velkommen til den danske afdeling af det internationale gymnastikforbund FIG’s i alt tre World Cups i 2013. Idræts- og eventområdet har høj prioritet i Odense Kommune. At afvikle store idrætsbegivenheder i Odense stimulerer ikke bare interessen for idræt og fysisk bevægelse i al almindelighed; det giver også mulighed for at opleve topidræt på tæt hånd – nogle gange endda i absolut verdensklasse. Vi glæder os derfor til nogle festlige dage med spektakulære spring og øvelser af høj standard og er stolte og glade over, at verdensstjernerne kommer til Odense og viser deres evner frem.

Derudover er dette års World Cup sidste led i en ”tre-trins-raket”, som leder frem mod Odenses værtskab for VM i 2015 – en event vi ser frem til med stor spænding og entusiasme. Med World Cuppen i 2011 og her i 2013 håber vi derfor at have samlet så megen erfaring og præsenteret deltagerne så godt for byen, at VM i 2015 bliver et brag af en begivenhed for alle parter. Nu gælder det dog World Cuppen og scenen er uden tvivl sat for en stor og spændende oplevelse for både deltagere og tilskuere – jeg ved Danmarks Gymnastik Forbund, Udvikling Fyn, Odense by og alle de frivillige med garanti vil gøre alt for, at denne turnering bliver en succes på alle områder. Welcome to the World Cup in trampoline and tumbling 2013 On behalf of the city of Odense it is a great pleasure to welcome you all to the Danish part of the international gymnastics federation FIG’s three annual World Cups in 2013. The area of sports and events is very much prioritized by the city of Odense. To host big sports events in Odense does not only stimulate the public interest for sports and exercise in all; it also makes it possible on close hand to experience sport in the absolute elite – sometimes even world class. Therefore, we are looking forward to some festive days with spectacular passes and routines of high standards and are very proud and glad, that the best athletes of the world are visiting Odense and showing us their talents.

In addition, this World Cup is the final step in a “three-step-missile” that leads to Odense hosting the World Championships in 2015 – an event we look forward to with great excitement and enthusiasm. By hosting the World Cup in 2011 and 2013 we hope to have gained so much experience and given the athletes such a good impression of the city that the World Championships in 2015 will be a special event to remember for all parties. But for now, we are focusing on the World Cup and the scene is definitely set for a big and exciting experience for both athletes and spectators - I know the Danish Gymnastics Federation, Developing Funen, the city of Odense and all the volunteers will do their outmost to secure that this tournament will be a success in every way. Velkommen til World Cup På vegne af Danmarks Gymnastik Forbund, Organisationskomitéen, de frivillige og alle som har været involveret i World Cup 2013, vil jeg gerne byde alle rigtig hjertelig velkommen. Det er en stor ære for Danmarks Gymnastik Forbund at afholde endnu en World Cup i Trampolin og Tumbling i Danmark, og vi har glædet os til at kunne åbne dørene til nogle tempofyldte og højtflyvende dage. For Danmarks Gymnastik Forbund er det en integreret del af vores strategi at afholde internationale gymnastik events i Danmark. Vi mener, at afholdelsen af events spiller en vigtig rolle i udviklingen af vores forbund, og er med til at løfte det gymnastiske niveau i Danmark op på et internationalt niveau. densmesterskaberne i Trampolin og Tumling i 2015 i Odense. En stor event, som vi ser meget frem til. World Cuppen 2013 giver vores danske gymnaster mulighed for at konkurrere mod verdens allerbedste gymnaster på deres egen hjemmebane. Men det er ligeledes også en mulighed for de danske tilskuere til at opleve trampolin og tumling gymnastik på allerhøjeste niveau. Vores mål med World Cuppen er at skabe en spændende, oplevelsesrig og uforglemmelig konkurrence for deltagere og publikum, hvilket jeg er sikker på, vi kan leve op til med hjælp fra hele organisationen og de frivillige hjælpere bag eventen. Jeg vil gerne ønske alle en god World Cup, og jeg håber I alle vil være med til at støtte vores danske og udenlandske gymnaster, og skabe en fantastisk atmosfære i hallen. Welcome to the World Cup On behalf of the Danish Gymnastics Federation, the Organizing Committee, the volunteers and everyone else involved in the World Cup 2013 in Odense - I would like to welcome you all. For the second time the Danish Gymnastics Federation is welcoming the world of trampoline and tumbling to Denmark. Hosting international gymnastics events is an integrated element of the strategy in the Danish Gymnastics Federation. We see gymnastics events as playing an important role in the development of the federation and elevating the gymnastics in Denmark into an international level. This World Cup is part of the run-up to the World championship in Trampoline and Tumbling 2015 in Odense, which we are looking forward to in anticipation.

The World Cup 2013 in an opportunity for the Danish athletes to compete against the world’s best gymnasts on their own home court. But it is also the time where the Danish spectators can enjoy the trampoline and tumbling gymnastics at the highest world level. It is our goal to create an exciting, eventful and memorable World Cup, and we believe that with the help of our corps of volunteers we can make that happen. Trampolin - gymnastikkens højdespringer Trampolin er den højtflyvende gymnastikgren, hvor gymnasterne udfører saltoer og skruer i op til 8 meters højde. Kodeordet for at udføre øvelserne i trampolinen er kropskontrol, hvilket derfor stiller store krav til gymnasternes styrke, balance og koordination. Trampolinspring sker i ”den store trampolin”. Det er en sport, som kræver en overraskende god kondition. Derudover trænes styrke, balance og koordination for at nå målet om fuld kropskontrol i luften.
TO ØVELSER Á 10 SPRING Konkurrencen består af to såkaldte øvelser, som hver består af 10 spring, som springes i træk. I første øvelse skal alle springerne opfylde en række krav. På den måde sikrer man, at springerne laver øvelser af nogenlunde samme sværhedsgrad, og at de derfor alene kan bedømmes på, hvor flot og korrekt, de springer. Anden øvelse er fri, så springerne sammensætter selv deres øvelse. Springerne bliver bedømt på, hvor korrekt de springer, og hvor svær deres øvelse er. Sværhedsgraden afhænger af, hvor mange saltoer og skruer, der er og i hvilken position de udføres.

Tumbling - gymnastikkens formel 1 Tumbling er en gymnastikgren som er kendetegnet ved kraftfulde spring i et rasende tempo. Tumbling sker på en 25 m lang fiberbane, hvor de springer 5-8 spring efter hinanden og hvor de til sidst lander sikkert på fødderne. Det er en disciplinen, som stiller store krav til styrke, teknik og koordination.
8 SPRING Ved World Cuppen konkurreres i 8-springskonkurrencer, der er forbeholdt eliterækken, og dømmes efter internationale regler.

Danske deltagere i Tumbling Anders Wesch - dobbelt dansk senior mester og nr. 5 til World Games Lasse Pihl - nr. 2 til DM og med ved alle EM og VM siden 2008 Tobias Brems-Hulgaard Johanne Lassen Nørby - ambition om top 5 og skal blandt andet have testet en fullfull i konkurrencen. David Bay Jensen med uden for konkurrence, men stadigvæk i høj grad med til at kæmpe om pladserne på VM-holdet. Adam Scharf Matthiesen - dansk junior mester og nr. 3 til junior EM sidste gang.
Hvad er dine forventninger til World Cuppen? Michael Jensen, landstræner Tumbling: “Jeg forventer, at vores gymnaster går ud og leverer en fantastisk konkurrence. Vi har nogle spændende øvelser som skal testes om de holder til VM eller ej. Samtidig skal gutterne vise, at de kan levere i konkurrencen, når det virkeligt gælder.”

Hvad er dine forventninger til World Cuppen? Bo Tureby, landstræner i Trampolin: “Mine forventninger til Word Cuppen er, at de bedste chancer er i synkron ved Christian og Peter. Desværre er Christian lige p.t. skadet, så det er ikke optimalt med træningen. Under alle omstændigheder bliver det ikke så let at gentage sejren fra for to år siden, selv om de vandt bronze ved World Games for to måneder siden. Individuelt er en finalplads til Peter et ønskeresultat. World Cuppen i Odense er sidste station før VM for Peter, så det bliver spændende at prøve VM-programmet af på højeste niveau. Christian skal koncentrere sig individuelt om processen i sine øvelser og træne sin konkurrencepsyke. En top 25 placering vil være et godt resultat. Emilie Gram har været ramt af sygdom, så hendes træningstilstand er ikke optimal. Hendes to landsholdskammerater Helena Mogensen og Maila Walmod er begge ramt af skader, så der er desværre ikke dansk deltagelse i damesynkron. Emilie skal være glad for en placering i bedste 2/3 af feltet.”

It is not the first time Odense will have to bring out the trampolines and the tumbling lanes. In 2001 Odense hosted the World Championships, in 2006 it was the Nordic Championships, in 2008 they had been given the honor of hosting the European trampoline and tumbling Championships and in 2013 the World Cup Final and the World Championships 2015.
The World Cup Final 2013 in the Olympic disciplines Trampoline and Tumbling, is thus the second step in our three-step plan, that has been formed by the Danish Gymnastics Federation, Sport Event Denmark and Sport Event Fyn.
