THIS IS WASHBURN ICHABOD SOFTBALL Laura Klamm (below) was inducted into the Washburn Athletics Hall of Fame on Feb. 14, 1998. Klamm was a three-time NAIA All-Amer­ican in softball and a member of the NAIA Hall of Fame. She had an all-time pitching record of 79-27 and led the Lady Blues to two NAIA national tournament appearances in 1985 and 1986. Klamm was named the NAIA tournament most valuable player in 1985 and was also selected to the all-tournament team as a senior in 1986. In addition to her off-field accomplishments, she was a NAIA Academic AllAmerican in 1986. Her jersey number “17” was retired following the 1986 season. Washburn finished as the national runner-up in 1985 and was fifth in 1986.
