Monday-Friday: 11 a.m. - 7 p.m.; Saturday/Sunday: noon - 6 p.m. Our amazing pool is an eight-lane, 25-yard competition pool with an attached recreational shallow end. This outstanding facility also provides equipment for water basketball and water volleyball. The pool stays open yearround and is heated for winter use. OUTDOOR RECREATION
The outdoor recreation program provides students a wide array of outdoor activities. Activities include bicycling, rock climbing, horseback riding, zip lining, camping, archery, and snorkeling with manatees. One-day excursions enable participants to enjoy Florida’s remarkable state parks and recreational facilities. EQUIPMENT CHECKOUT
Plan your own adventure while staying on budget. We’ve got tents, coolers, bikes, hiking packs, and more. The Equipment Checkout Room is open Monday through Saturday 3 to 5 p.m. or by appointment.
LIVING LAKESIDE
With Lake Hollingsworth in Florida Southern’s backyard, students enjoy the waterfront and all it offers. All FSC residence halls are just steps from the lake. The three-mile path around this beautiful lake is the perfect setting for walking, jogging, or biking. Check out a kayak from the boathouse or learn how to water ski at one of our water ski clinics.
The Princeton Review recently ranked Florida Southern in the top 12 of the ‘Everybody Plays Intramural Sports’ category. Our program offers individual and team sports and an activity schedule that includes basketball, dodge ball, flag football, soccer, tennis, kayak races, and ultimate frisbee, just to name a few. Intramurals are open to current Florida Southern students, faculty, and staff. You don’t need to be a star athlete to participate — play for the fun, physical activity, and sportsmanship!
