Name something that might get damaged or destroyed by a moving company.....
a nearly priceless limited edition Thomas Jefferson Grandfather clock. I myself was partly to blame for just such a calamity. The moving company I worked at had one of these ridiculously expensive clocks poorly wrapped in a few moving blankets out in the middle of the dark and narrow storage area. I needed to get a forklift passed it, had no clue whatsoever that that was what this 8-10 foot "package" was and ever so barely tapped the edge of the blanket with the fork. This type of clock is top-heavy to begin with and the blankets made it at least doubly so. I watched horrified from the seat of the forklift as it seemed to fall in slow motion, barely making a sound as it hit. It cost a good deal to have professionally repaired and fortunately I wasn't held entirely to blame considering how precariously it had been positioned, thank God!
