“For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink, I was a stranger and you invited me in, I needed clothes and you clothed me, I was sick and you looked after me, I was in prison and you came to visit me.” Matthew 25:35-36

At World Vision, we have not invited the children into our lives … they have invited us into theirs. From them we learn … about poverty, about challenges, about the big differences made by the tiniest amount of hope. Through education and by providing pathways out of poverty, we are giving them a voice. We are empowering them as agents of change for their communities’ future. When we feed the children – with nourishment and knowledge – we create opportunity for their entire family unit, village, community and country. Marita, aged 10, from Mozambique, lost her best friend to malaria. World Vision health programs aim to prevent the loss and suffering caused by preventable diseases like malaria.
