THE RULES We will be following the Showboat's standard tournament rules and pay out structures. The Showboat Tournament Directors are in charge of each tournament and their rulings are final.
TOURNAMENT REGISTRATION Registration for all Buy-in tournaments will open approx. 2 hours before the tournament start time in the ballroom.
DEALER ADD ON Each player can purchase an additional 5,000 in starting chips for $5. The $5 goes directly to the dealers.

Step 1
Over the last few months, many have asked, “So what exactly is the GAPC and why the name change”?
Type the page name (below) into your search bar (upper left hand side). The Official World Tavern Poker Page
Step 2
Once you have arrived at the page, click on the button that says ‘photo’. (It will be located near the top of the page, and in the center of the page, next to the ‘write post’ button)
Step 3
Your mobile device will pull up a screen with existing photos that have been taken with your device’s camera. Select the image you wish to use, and click the blue button in the lower right hand corner.
Step 4 You will now be on the final ‘Post screen'. Type any message you wish to leave with your photo, and hit ‘Post’ in the upper right-hand corner of the screen. Congratulations! Your photo will now be on the facebook wall in the ‘Recent Posts by Others’ section!

Nearly 5 years ago we had an idea of bringing bar poker leagues from around the country together to compete in a championship event. An event that required everyone to qualify on the same terms. An event that has a more exciting format. An event that would ‘force’ the poker industry to pay attention and give bar poker players the recognition that they deserve. And an event that would revolutionize bar poker as we know it.

Casino Poker Rules Some casino rules differ than those at World Tavern Poker. Here are a few of the key differences. The Showboat primarily follows the Tournament Director’s Association rules -
• Viewers cannot sit or stand behind another player nor discuss the hand while action is pending. • When breaking tables, players can be seated in the blinds and required to play. • When it is time to color-up chips, they will be raced off with a maximum of one chip going to any player.

• Players must keep their higher denomination chips visible and in front of lower denominations. • Players may not be on the phone while at the table. • A card flipped up is NOT an automatic misdeal. • It is the players' responsibility to protect their hand at ALL times. Dealers are trained to muck unprotected hands so please be aware of this at the table.
• A player must be at his seat by the time all players have been dealt initial hands or cards will be mucked. • A player who exposes his cards with action pending may incur a penalty but will not have a dead hand. • Chips placed in the pot in turn must stay in the pot. Action out

• Whenever the size of a declared bet can have multiple meanings, it will be ruled as the lesser value. Example: “I bet five”. If it is unclear whether “five” means $500 or $5,000, the bet stands as $500.
