Created in New York’s Pegu Club, The Old Cuban harks back to a glamorous age when America’s jet set flocked to Havana, indulging in a heady mixture of sizzling music and elegant cocktails. With the tropical fruit and warm caramel notes of Bacardi 8 offset by fresh mint and chilled champagne, this is the Mojito’s more sophisticated older sister. Ingredients: 45ml Bacardi 8 Year Old Rum 2 Dashes of Angostura™ Bitters
Method: 1. Add the first five ingredients to a cocktail shaker & add cubed ice.
20ml Freshly Squeezed Lime Juice 25ml Simple Syrup (Sugar Syrup) 6 Whole Mint Leaves 60ml Chilled Champagne (such as Veuve Clicquot™) Glass: Martini Glass
2. Shake well & strain into a chilled martini glass.
3. Top with champagne & finish with a sprig of fresh mint.
