Table 4.C.3 and Figure 4.C.2 display the prevalence of HIV infection among female sex workers. The HIV epidemic among female sex workers, as well as the adult population is declining overall; a trend that is evident during the Status Quo scenario. Bring the empowerment intervention to scale, however, effects a further decrease in prevalence from 1.82% to 1.76% within a five year period, when the community empowerment-based, comprehensive HIV prevention reaches 70% by 2016.
