Associates are not eligible for employment with the World Bank for two years following the end of their appointments. n Junior Professionals Program for Afro-Descendants (JPPAD). This program is for individuals of Sub-Saharan African ancestry and U.S. minorities. JPPAD is a two-year pipeline-building program managed by the Office of Diversity Programs. JPPAD provides young talent with an opportunity to gain experience in global development and enables the Bank Group to benefit from the knowledge and diversity of these professionals. n Bank Internship Program. This program is for nationals of a World Bank member country who are enrolled in a master’s or doctoral program. Interns work either in the winter (November–January) or the summer (May–September). Interns in this program receive a salary. The World Bank’s Partnership Programs reflect a broader commitment to building and sustaining strategic alliances throughout the global community. The following programs provide opportunities for qualified junior and midcareer professionals to contribute to the Bank’s work program and to gain skills, exposure, and experience from the Bank’s internal perspective: n Global Secondment Program. This program is for professionals from member countries, regional agencies, development banks, international organizations, and private organizations (including NGOs and academia). n Donor-Funded Staffing Program. This program is for professionals from partner countries. n Kingdom of Saudi Arabia Recruitment Program. Professionals from Saudi Arabia are eligible for this program. n Kuwait Recruitment Program. Professionals from Kuwait are eligible for this program. n Voice Secondment Program. This capacity-building program is for civil servants from member developing and transition countries. Specific programs include the following: n Joint Japan–World Bank Graduate Scholarship Program. This program covers up to two years of study toward a master’s degree.
