he study was prepared by three main authors, Paul Brenton, Gareth Edwards-Jones, and Michael Friis Jensen, assisted by the three co-authors, Nicola A arzadeh, Andrew Norton, and Katharina Plassmann. Paul Brenton is a lead economist in the Africa Department (AFTPM) in the World Bank. Gareth Edwards-Jones is a professor in agriculture and land use studies at the School of Environment and Natural Resources, Bangor University, Wales. Michael Friis Jensen was formerly a senior economist in the International Trade Department (PRMTR) at the World Bank. He is currently Project Senior Researcher at the Danish Institute for International Studies. Nicola A arzadeh is a consultant with the environmental consultancy CarbonRoots. Andrew Norton is a consultant with the environmental consultancy Renuables, and Katharina Plassmann is a researcher based at the Institute of Agricultural Climate Research of the Federal Research Institute for Rural Areas, Forestry and Fisheries (vTI) in Germany.
