To conclude, for the purposes of this evaluation, the Bank’s policy on gender is interpreted consistently with OP/BP 4.20 as requiring the four-step process (figure 1.1) in each country where the Bank is active. The OP/BP 4.20, read along with the 2001 Gender Strategy, is the guiding document for policy implementation. Thus, except in cases identified in other specific policies, there is no requirement that gender considerations be integrated into activities in sectors not noted in CASs.
