220 under qualified teachers are admitted to upgrade to diploma level every year in subjects of their choice through distance mode and residential sessions at Domasi College of Education. x 220 students are admitted to the normal entry program every year to study for a diploma in education in subjects of their choice. Out of these, 60 percent are recruited from serving primary school teachers. x Up to 400 under qualified teachers will be trained to diploma level in science subjects over the next three years with funding from the Africa Development Fund. Bachelor of Education degree in primary introduced at Domasi College of Education to reduce teacher shortage in TTCs. This targets qualified T2 teachers and secondary school graduates. An upgrading course at Chancellor College for TTC lecturers with diplomas to bachelors degree. This is supported by the Scottish government. Masters degree program for 19 TTC lecturers, including two DTED staff through Open and Distance Learning, sponsored by UNESCO through Indira Ghandi National Open University.

At the secondary school level, CPD is organized at cluster level.
