This printed guide covers information for and about the Woodland Hills, Tarzana, Reseda and Warner Center areas and contains a list of all our members as well as many additional ads. It’s a great extension to the chamber’s online directory.

A Holiday Mix and Mingle The WVWC Chamber of Commerce brings together over 100 business owners and professionals at the Warner Center Marriot for their traditional Holiday Mix and Mingle. The members enjoyed hors d'oeuvres, holiday drinks, a silent auctions and a special visit from Santa Claus.

Dababneh Delivers to Veterans Assemblymember Matt Dababneh (45th Assembly District) delivered over 450 business suits to veterans for the national campaign “Suites for Soldiers” founded by Farmers Insurance, The annual drive helps our brave men and women transition into the workforce. Due to the incredible amount of support from members of the community, Dababneh’s office collected ten times more suites than was planned. The WVWC Chamber of Commerce is proud to have been a drop off location for the Assemblymember , as well as partnering with chamber members Farmers Insurance, Rodeo Realty and Fazio Cleaners who cleaned the gently used suites at no charge.

Young Professionals Group Keeps Growing The Millennial Professional Network, one of the WVWC Chamber of Commerce’s popular networking groups, hosts their first Ugly Sweater Holiday Mixer at Eureka at The Village. The night was full of delightful appetizers, happy hour drinks, and fire‐pit side networking conversations on the patio.

Chamber Volunteer Selected as Eagle Scout

West Valley resident Matthew Mendelson was honored in a ceremony for receiving his Eagle Scout honor. The highest and rarest honor given in the Boy Scouts of America. It was given for Mendelson’s scouting achievements, skills and volunteer work in his community. He volunteered for the WVWC chamber with tree planting, community clean up and Operation Gratitude, as well as reconditioning the St. Luke Lutheran church in Woodland hills.

COMMUNITY BENEFIT FOUNDATION

Community Team Effort Cleans Up Local School

We had an incredibly successful Campus Beautification event. Over 150 people came out to weed, prune, and clean up Taft high School. Everyone from the students, teachers, staff , parents and a mural painters volunteered their time. The event partnered with WVWC Chamber, Rotary Club, Councilmember Blumenfield's office, and member Nicolas Kitchen, as well as Trader Joe's, Coffee Bean, Noah's and Western Bagel shops.

Adopt‐A‐School is a WVWC Chamber program that offers an opportunity for businesses to help provide essentials to the classrooms that are no longer budget line items for the schools. Money and donations from businesses can fulfill needs of the school that are essential to student development. The application process is so easy for both local schools and businesses. MEMBER ORIENTATION

We had our MONTHLY Member Orientation at the Microsoft Store at Westfield Topanga. New Members received hands on interactive training on how to use the Chamber’s robust online marketing tools. They practiced their best 10 second one liners for their business and also learned ways to make more connections. Member Corner Bakery Café in Woodland Hills sponsored the Breakfast. The Member Orientation is not just for new members. For more information contact Erika at erika@woodlandhillscc.net.
