Whether they donate a percentage of profits to charity, or support and empower local artisans, here are just a few of our designers working towards making a diffrerence.
EDGE OF EMBER Edge of Ember’s pieces are made by craftsmen in Indonesia, Thailand and Cambodia, which includes women-run businesses, fair trade organizations and home-based workers. They operate ethically and support traditional local talent - a cause the brand champions in this era of mass production factories and forgotten makers.
TOMCSANYI The Budapest-based brand emphasises sustainability by sourcing responsible materials and producing everything locally. The brand recently launched fine knitwear with 100% wool knitted items, produced by a Hungarian manufacturer that employs people with changed working abilities.
ROSA & CLARA DESIGNS Rosa & Clara Designs create playful and colourful homeware. The brand works with the Working Well Trust, a mental health charity based in Whitechapel, London, which supports its clients to return to employment. All of Rosa & Clara Designs’ cushions are sewn by the Working Well Trust.

MAHI LEATHER MAHI Leather connects consumers with the craftsman. The name pays homage to the Mahi River, a great source of nourishment for the home of the cows and craftsmen in Gujarat, India. Staying true to this principle, they donate $1.50 from every bag sold to their partner water charity, FRANK Water.
VYAYAMA Yoga wear brand VYAYAMA offers a natural alternative to synthetic yoga wear. All are made in family run workshops in Portugal, only working with partners that have strong unions to protect the workers’ rights and facilities located close to natural water resources.
MIEMANA Miemana is a Spanish social project making leather accessories that aim to empower people with special needs. The brand incorporates people with disabilities in the manufacturing process: all handbag tassels are made at 3 institutions which help people with special needs integrate into society.
NO 13 No 13 is a jewellery is inspired by nature and indigenous artisans who live in some of the remotest and endangered places on the planet. The first collection is a collaboration with the Sami - an indigenous culture that is heavily affected by our actions on the planet, so a percentage of profits are donated to the National Wildlife Federation.
