When you arrive, please check in at the Registration Tables. Here, you will receive any additions to the catalog along with your bid number. 1. Auction Items a. Unless otherwise announced at the time of sale, all bids are “per lot,” as numbered in the printed catalog or its addendum. A “lot” may be single or multiple items. The purchaser should note the description in the catalog or addendum. b. All items are purchased “as is.” Wilmington Montessori School is not responsible for any representations, warranties, faults or defects in any lot or the correctness of any statement as to the genuineness, origin, date, age, condition, or quality of any lot. 2. Bidding a. Silent Auction: The Silent Auction begins promptly at 8:00 pm and table closing times will be posted. Items in the Silent Auction have bid sheets. To bid, write your Bid Number and the amount of your bid on the Bid Sheet. Write clearly, please. Be sure to increase the previous bid

by at least the bid increment stated at the top of the bid sheet — any bids less than this specified amount will be deleted. The highest bidder at the time of table closing shall be the purchaser. Auction officials will circle the winning bid for each item — check back after the tables close! b. Live Auction: To enter a bid, hold up your Bid Number to signal the Auctioneer or a nearby spotter. The highest bidder acknowledged by the auctioneer shall be the purchaser. 3. Auction officials reserve the right to remove any item from the silent auction for presentation during the live auction. 4. Terms a. Payment is due in full on the night of the auction. Payment options are cash, personal check (made out to WMS) or credit card (Visa, MasterCard, American Express or Discover). b. All sales are final. It’s a great chance to learn about how your friends and family think! Perhaps entertainment for a birthday party? Or an exciting way to spend game night as a family? Here’s an example: working as a team, hang as many objects as 21


possible from a clothesline using straws, paper clips and string, with 3 minutes to plan and 4 minutes to make it happen. Or, create a short play featuring watermelons and a flat tire. We will bring all materials and costumes and props. We are happy to have current or former OMER’s bid on this item too - our problems will be fun new spontaneous problems. Travel to the Alps with Room 15’s tactile illustration of a European mountainous biome. Hand felted fleece, retired wools, buttons, and other donated baubles have been upcycled to create this one of a kind textile. All students had a literal ‘hand’ in the production as they transformed raw fleece into wool and used their muscle power to felt wool scraps on antique washboards.
