Wine To Water Philippines Due to climate change and their geographic location, the Philippines endure an average of 22 severe tropical storms each year. In November 2013, Super Typhoon Haiyan/Yolanda affected 16 million people, displacing 4.1 million people. Although this super storm happened more than a year ago, many people still lack access to basic necessities. Amazon Well In remote areas of Colombia, Peru, and Brazil, there are many jungle villages along the Amazon river where water-borne illnesses are a daily struggle for the local population. In order to reach these remote locations, your donations allow us to transport a compact drilling machine by canoe to wherever most needed. Well drilling is done on protected ground where clean water is safe from periodic river flooding. In addition to well drilling, your donations support rainwater catchment, water filtration, and sanitation initiatives, as well. These efforts greatly reduce the risk of waterborne illnesses for the local population and indigenous peoples of the region. Cost: $5000 Share the cost: $500
